    That said, I believe that the NYC, New Jersey, and Virginia Dem victories should be a wake-up call to Republicans to focus in on the economy, especially inflation. Covid & Biden made it bad. So far, it is not apparent to most that Trump & co. have done much to make it better. Hopefully this wake-up call will be listened to well in advance of next year’s midterms.

    1. No amount of economic fuckery would be sufficient to draw the attention of voters (legal and illegal) who think that electing someone from the cadre that has already elevated their state and local income tax to 18%+ is going to make their lives better.

Maybe people need to reflect on who the abysmal mayors and govenors were before him that lead New Yorker’s to choose him.     The mayor of New York cannot raise federal or state taxes, he can’t freeze rent, he can’t change the minimum wage, but he can raise municipal taxes. Mamdani has promised to lower municipal taxes, not raise them – the only taxes he controls directly.

      One has to wonder though, which one of their special interest/intersectional groups will be the most special? Because that will have to happen now; their own politics demands it. Probably won’t be the liberal lovey Karens though; they’re probably in for the most rude awakening.

    Fateh makes Mamdani look like a moderate.
