  7. She’s created quite a niche’ for herself in the annals of contemporary grotesque art. Right up there with Goya and Munch … who were also exploring their discomfort with white culture. *snicker*

    Famous Crazy Horse Statue in South Dakota. The Lakota of the Oglala Band would start wars with the express purpose of replacing members of the tribe who died. These replacements weren’t voluntary. They were captive slaves. Let’s tear down the statue.

    Chief Massasoit of the Wampanoag tribe has a statue in Massachusetts. That tribe employed outright slavery before and long after the Europeans arrived. Let’s tear down the statue.

    Hiawatha of the Mohawk Nation and the broader Iroquois (Haudenosaunee) Confederacy has a statue in Michigan. The Mohawk Nation was notorious for its application of slavery. Another statue to tear down.

She represents new “art” that cannot be “created” until someone else has made something of legitimate beauty … she can then “deconstruct” and make “better” by making it akin to scrap metal lounging in the back alley for that scrap-hauling neighbour to grab. I would not trust her near my furnace in winter.

    Ultimately, and awkwardly, most, if not all artistic creations are reflections of the artist’s mental health.

    Her so-called “artist’s statement” is a confession of how profoundly artistically illiterate she is but as her “artistic” aim is destroying, not creating, artistic literacy isn’t something she needs.
