  5. Emma Watson made two errors, one forgiveable and one unforgiveable.

    The forgiveable error was to jump on a cause without understanding it or or thinking it through. We’ve all made similar mistakes when we were young. It’s pretty much a rite of passage.

    The unforgiveable error was to personally attack Rowling, the woman whose work made Watson rich and famous. Watson could have said “Rowling and I disagree on this issue, but we both respect each other’s right to their opinions.” Instead she berated and belittled Rowling at a time when Rowling was getting regular threats of violence for her views. It was low-hanging fruit for Watson, but she should have refused to bite.

    She seems to believe that it’s only arson if the church burns right to the ground.
    If the fire is extinguished it’s something else, but not arson.
    Four years of journalism school can only teach them so much I guess..

      In Ontario at one time, probably still the same now, if you have “fire and theft” insurance on your motorcycle, four wheeler, etc., and it is “stolen”, if it is “recovered”, totally destroyed, insurance doesn’t have to pay, because it is no longer “stolen”, it is “recovered”. You should have bought the “vandalism” insurance on top of what you already bought…..And they don’t mention that when selling you the insurance, ignorance on your part is a non payout on their part.

      1. Can we quit calling them “Progressives” already? They are Deconstructionists. All they do is rip apart everything that came before and replace it with flatulence. Nothing gets better under Progressives. Things only get worse. So they are actually Regressives. But Deconstructionists fits the bill better, in my opinion. Universities teach deconstructionism. No right-thinking person should help pump up their egos by calling them Progressives.

    Cynical idiot Schumer (and complicit liberal media) imply there is something corrupt about construction of the new ballroom at the White House continuing despite the government shutdown. Of course, that construction is continuing, because it is privately funded and not subject to Democrats’ tantrum demand for free healthcare for illegal aliens.
