  1. Last line at the link,
“Nevertheless, what he is doing now in Gaza is well beyond any trivial prizes. It is for history. Mark it down.”

It would a great thing if he could arrange the security of Israel’s southern border. As for the gazans “well being” I think they should abandon islam and that would be a fair leap forward for their situation and for their souls in the afterlife as well…

It remains to be seen in these next few days if those in charge of Gaza will accept the 21 point plan arranged by The President and PM Netanyahu. I think the Hamas folks are sufficiently demented that they’ll refuse to accept this, and “fight to the finish” … the jury’s out as civilized people sometimes say.
It “seems” to be a good deal for them, they get to live, in spite of their terrorist attack from 7 October 2023

Sure, if the Hamas don’t accept this they’ll all be dead, and many more gazans will be too. I don’t have a horse in that race and it’s not possible for me to care if the entirety of gaza is pushed into the sea.
I think the line between Hamas and “the 12vers” from Iran isn’t so distant. They have similar wants.

However if the Hamas do accept this offer, the memes comparing The President’s Nobel Peace Prize with the first 1/2 black president O’Bama’s Nobel Peace Prize for his “accomplishments” are going to be great fodder for all. I’m looking forward to seeing and sharing them.

I’m comparing the potential life giving acceptance of this peace agreement from 2 great statesmen, to memes mocking all things O’Bama. Just to be clear of to what degree my concern for gazan’s future well being is.

    1. Well, the BBC “News” would know right… they’ve had access to Hamas in trade for reporting what Hamas wanted since the start of this terrorist attack. Which isn’t so removed from how Canada’s MSM reports the gov’t line in return for tax credits to keep their buildings warm in the winter, and then 99% of them take the same side in this affair.

“Trump peace plan ‘ignores interests of Palestinian people’, Hamas official tells BBC”
“A senior Hamas figure has told the BBC that the group is likely to reject Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, saying it “serves Israel’s interests” and “ignores those of the Palestinian people”.
The figure said that Hamas is unlikely to agree to disarming and handing over their weapons – a key condition of Trump’s plan.
Hamas is also said to object to the deployment of an International Stabilisation Force (ISF) in Gaza, which it views as a new form of occupation.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted Trump’s plan during White House talks on Monday. Hamas has not yet given an official response.”

  2. “…his 20-point proposal to end the war, which has Hamas releasing all the hostages in 72 hours and permanently laying down its arms. They will no longer rule Gaza”

Hamas would never accept this. What they want is these 20 points to be replaced with a single one: Muslims ruled by Hamas can murder, pillage, rape/maim innocent Israelis as much as they want while victims are allowed to praise their tormentors + idiot Europeans give Hamas more money to purchase more weapons.

    1. Hamas have proven themselves to be not only homicidal… but suicidal … as well. They actually believe they are winning the hearts and minds due to the Free-Free Palestine invasion of the West … so what have they got to lose? Free-Free Hamas! Flotilla of baby food!! Yeayyy!!

And when all else fails … meet your 72 virgins when your tunnel is flooded with poisonous gas, and is collapsed on your dead body. Turn Gaza to glass.

      Yeah, I’ve got Pali-fatigue.

          1. I wonder how long until the left finally tires of Greta and she’s forced to start an Only Fans page….

    2. “Hamas would never accept this.”

My intuition is telling me that is part of the plan.
That would allow Trump to let Israel off its leash and to do what’s needed to end this conflict for good.
      Let me add another scenario
Is it possible that after Israel bombed the Hamas safe house in Qatar that their host is starting to feel Hamas has been a guest in their country too long? Perhaps even to the point of making sure Mossad had an easy path to their hideout?
The important part about this isn’t what the Palestinians get out of this, it’s what Hamas gets if they don’t comply within the next 72 hours.
Just in time for the weekend news cycle.

  3. Donald Trump is Dirty Harry with the 44 magnum pointing at the criminal with the criminal’s gun still within reach. The criminal doesn’t know how many bullets Clint Eastwood has left. Eastwood says, with all the shooting he has forgotten too.

“You gotta ask yourself one question. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Remember Saddam Hussein. Bush offered him like $2 billion to leave his country, keep alive so there was no war. Saddam felt lucky. Later US troops found him cowering in a spider hole and hung him. He felt lucky.

I have no idea what Hamas will do, but either way, they have run out of luck.

    1. “I have no idea what Hamas will do, but either way, they have run out of luck.”

      They really have, finally.

I wasn’t a fan of this plan until I had read the entire thing. Now I agree that it is genius. Getting the other Arab nations onboard was key (as it was with the Abraham Accords)…now Hamas is left with no real choice. Take the deal and live…or don’t take it and die. ALL of them.

I remember when Yassir Arafat was offered 95% of all the territory he wanted, but *still* turned it down in favor of ‘intifada’. This won’t be like that, because again: the other Arab nations are onboard this time. All those nations who hate Israel, the many NGOs all over the world funded by them and their pawns at western universities have been out-manoeuvred by President Donald Trump.

Part of me hopes Hamas doesn’t take the deal, though, because Netanyahu now has a defacto *official* licence to completely exterminate them if they don’t. We’ll see.

  4. The Arab statement pays lip service to a Palestinian state, but it is nowhere to be found among Trump’s 20 points. My best guess is the Arabs don’t really want one—they’ve seen enough.

Neither do the Palestinians. There’s a lot of Western money to be had by playing along as if you do want one and why idiotic, pro Hamas Western leftists are chumps.
And the writer is correct…Arab nations are quite content to have the sh*t disturbing Palestinians right where they are currently. The hard lessons learned by Jordan accepting thousands of Palestinians into their country isn’t lost on their neighbours and probably why Egypt has a better wall than Israel.

    1. “The hard lessons learned by Jordan accepting thousands of Palestinians into their country ”

And Lebanon as well…where, like Jordan, they were also forced to kill thousands of ‘Palestinians’ to prevent them taking over and decimating a nation gullible enough to offer them sanctuary.

  5. I’m a bit conflicted!
Only an hour or so ago I sent an email to an old friend ridiculing something the White House spokeswoman (forget her name) said: “Our friends from Qatar”. Yikes, what?!?!
In this linked piece Simon proposes the theory that “respect” was the missing ingredient and that now that it has been offered to the most unlikely people, things will change for the better, much better.
I hope so, but am extremely sceptical. One thing though: Trump is so all over the place that it seems wise to delay judgment maybe as long as he’s president.

    1. Trump is the greatest strategist since Sun Tzu.
      He is one clever S.O.B.
      1) I’ll make you an offer you can’t refuse.
      2) FAFO – “Oh, shit you’re too late.”
      3) “I approve of this message.”

You really don’t want to be on the opposite side of him.

Ask the janitors in Fordow, IRGC Quds Force honcho Qasem Solemeini of Iran or the Venezuelan drug boat muchachos.

Well, you can’t – they have been vaporized.

  6. Palestinians are the retarded cousins of the goat shagging, cousin marrying Muzzlims. Damn, given all the so called virtues (see above) of your garden variety Muzzie, these Palestinians are quite deplorable.
