The press is mocking RFK Jr. and President Trump for linking Tylenol to autism.
But universities like Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Mount Sinai — none of them aligned with Trump or RFK — have published research showing the risks.
Science shouldn’t be political.
A thread on autism studies that link prenatal exposure to acetaminophen to increased risk of neurodevelopmental disorders.
There was some commentary at X/Twitter saying the manufacturing companies of Tylenol was going to “bankrupt the US federal gov’t” when they win against The President and RFK.
I guess, “discovery” may throw some wrenches into that opinion.
also, “science”
I agree that discovery could be interesting, but drug companies and the Democrat allies will shop for a Democrat judge.
And as we have seen Democrat judges don’t pay any attention to facts. They’re rulings are much like that of Soviet judges (show me the man and we’ll find the crime).
Seems like Kenvue would need to sue Harvard, etc.
I disagree, but I don’t. Correlation is not causation. Yet Battacharia clearly expressed this was all based on “studies” … it’s all correlation. He just argues for erring on the side of safety. There’s nothing wrong with that.
However … I would still like to see the biomedical cause. What does Tylenol do to a pregnant woman’s fetal development biochemically to cause Autism.
A build up of the toxic metabolite N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine (NAPQI) can happen in the baby’s brain if the acetaminophen can not be metabolized well. Just in general you actually need to be careful that you don’t overdose acetaminophen because it is very liver toxic. It is really easy to do because people pop 2 extra strength and then maybe some cold medicine that also has it as an ingredient several times in a 24 hour period and before you know it you have liver failure.
Tylenol is an odd drug. It is non-prescription yet a normal dose is closer to a fatal dose than most drugs. People have no idea of how easy it would be to die from a Tylenol overdose. Kill your liver and it is a liver transplant or death.

Most scientific knowledge is gained through correlative studies, so you say all science should be rejected.
As usual, out of yer depth again.
As usual, you didn’t actually READ and COMPREHEND what I wrote. Meh.
NME is similar to unme.
yo, Kate, is this actually the unmebot of yore? there are other similarities . . . .
p.s. unmebot666 ‘ffo f’
Not even close, Unme was a persistent troller.
Well, except when he went jig fishing.
Well, it is never a good idea to make the statement that “correlation is not causation” when it comes to medicine and your own health. But clearly something is very wrong and I have to say that I would never trust “studies” that come out of the Big Pharma industry.
Democrats, you are free to take as much Tylenol as you desire.
And get as many vaccines as possible.
Don’t forget your COVID booster.
Oh yes, please volunteer to be a test subject for the STD vaccines which are being developed.
Now, start tracking autism rates amongst children whose parents are left wing versus right wing.
Any woman who rejects this advice, or worse intentionally increases their intake because of their hatred for trump will have a difficult time looking in the mirror if their child ends up autistic.
Like it or not, science is absolutely political, on the left and used, not to educate, nor improve the quality of human life, but as a lever to propagandize and control the population.
Look no further than Al Gore’s insistence that the Arctic ice cap would be gone…11 years ago.

“science is absolutely political,”
You mean “The Science” TM don’t you?
Policy based evidence manufacturing.
For the scientific method cares nothing for politics, delusion or fame.
Which is why the proponents of such loath truth.
The number of Americans taking prescription drugs is enormous. Some are taking five or more different drugs.
Is this a good thing?

Apologies, my post appeared twice.
I’m sure it does cause Autism. Why would “Tylenol” be any different than the rest of big pharma. Johnson & Johnson is a pretty sketchy company.

Trump just lobbed a Cannon ball into the D’s moneyed interest.
To the degree that this is true, it would be irresponsible not to raise public awareness.
I’ve included a link to Medcram’s take on this topic. Dr Seheult agrees that Tylenol could impair neurological development by way of oxidative stress. However, he goes on, at length, to propose an alternate mechanism that is likely to be a greater factor. That mechanism is the result of the mother not getting sufficient red and near infrared light. For most of our evolution we were exposed to full spectrum sun light, which our cells need at the mitochondrial level to operate at peak level. Today, many people do not spend much time outdoors and unfortunately, our indoor environments are dominated by the blue wave lengths. Our windows are Low E glass which eliminates the wave lengths we need for efficient production of ATP. A side effect of the mitochondrial insufficiency is that the cells don’t produce enough of the antioxidant, melatonin, voila another path to oxidative stress. Make of it what you will, I can vouch that red light therapy improves vision (Glen Jeffries, Univ College London).
It’s possible for both of the above mentioned mechanisms to occur, compounding the amount of oxidative stress.

Big Pharma could bring Thalidomide back for pregnant women and our media would shout down anyone opposed.
Occupy Wall Street veterans would lead the mobs burning and looting for Big Pharma Matters.
It’ll be interesting to see the Amish folks testifying in court as to the number of autism afflicted they have within the brethen…
Yes, they will testify in court, they affirm to tell the truth rather than “swear an oath” which is acceptable.
Tweet from Tylenol
We actually don’t recommend using any of our products while pregnant. Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns today.

Been doing my best to find out if this real or a fake. So far no one has said it’s a fake.

Today’s media talking point is attempting to “buffoon” Trump once more with their “there isn’t a Tylenol/Autism link”… which might be true, might not be.
Trump is merely suggesting not to ingest Tylenol if your pregnant. Full stop. My pregnant wife 40 years ago didn’t need anyone’s advice regarding OTC medication. Headache…nausea? Bucked it up and powered through it.
