15 Replies to “Your Moral and Intellectual Superiors”

  1. And all of them, even the few honest, unbiased ones, really do believe they’re morally and intellectually superior, but especially the latter.

  2. Not only have journalists become highly partisan, so have the readers.

I feel sorry for old-time journalists who seek the unvarnished truth no matter who it favours or disfavours. At least partisan journalists can depend on a dedicated following to back them. The old timers will eventually piss off nearly everyone, including their fellow journalists.

    1. There are no “old-time journalists who seek the unvarnished truth” and never have been. That’s a myth created by journalists.

  3. In 90% of the cases, they already know the narrative they want to tell and they are just cherry-picking any source they can find to support it. “Sources”, “Experts”, “some would say”, etc. Or they will deceptively edit.

  4. The 5 Ws.
    Who,What,Where,When and Why..
Have been replaced with Waa waa waa waa waa, from the
social influencers of Government Funded Media.
    Know your enemy.
When the citizens rejected the media messaging and stopped buying their “product” the media had choices..
They could stop lying and attempt to regain the trust they threw away..
Or they could beg government for handouts, further compromising their so called integrity..
And when the pay master pays the gold, you print what you are told.
Modern verification consists of “Does this serve the sacred narrative?”
Or “Do I want to believe this”?
If these self important morons even think that far.
For more and more we see the substance of a “News” article contradict the headline..
Meaning the narrators don’t even read their own “product”.

  5. It’s not necessary to falsify the news to distort it. All you need do is be selective about what you report on.

    1. Its called not telling the whole truth. It would meet the threshold for “falsify” in a lot of books.

    2. Most cities have Christian churches in the Mission district, and journalists in the Omission district…
