Another lie cycle completed at the New York Times: New York Times stunningly rolls back claims about viral photo of starving Gaza boy
We have appended an Editors' Note to a story about Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, a child in Gaza who was diagnosed with severe malnutrition. After publication, The Times learned that he also had pre-existing health problems. Read more below. pic.twitter.com/KGxP3b3Q2B

In the upper right hand corner of the NY Times is their motto: “All the news that’s fit to print.”
My roommate in the US Army in the 60’s used to say: “All the news that fits our agenda.”
Others here are most welcome to change the words around or come up with a different more appropriate motto.
Well … in defense of the NYT … at least they didn’t dredge up photos from some 1988 Muslim war as their example. But … then again … Google image search has sorta put an end to that dishonest practice.
Propaganda is the order of the day at the MSM.
More than adequate food is flowing into Gaza, it just so happens that Hamas is stealing and re-selling it.
This is sales/marketing/psychology: the damage was done, the 1st photo had a major impact and everyone felt sorrow/pity for Gaza thus forgetting that they brought it to themselves with what they did Oct 7.
Even if this detraction came faster than in other cases, all the people who felt certain way cannot unfeel now. And we all know that feelings trump logic.
That photo is just a part of a continuing series of Israel bashing propaganda going back a long time.
As for forgetting about what Hamas did Oct. 7, that happened shortly thereafter.
Yeah, what NYTimes does is what they all do – this:

Things you won’t read in the NYT.
Hamas attacks and kills humanitarian aid workers, yet somehow Israel and the US are at fault for the crisis in Gaza.

Note that the Lying Times never get around to explaining exactly what the pre-existing health conditions actually are. The NYT do lie and cheat.
And when I don’t get that vital information … I simply make up my own. So my guess is the child is suffering from severe genetic defects caused by inbreeding. You heard the TRUTH here first!
I heard it is cystic fibrosis.
Look what a drowned tyke on a sandy Turkish beach did to sway public opinion. You can get a lot done with one photo, failing that, a good story will do the job. The tale of Saddam’s soldiers bayonetting babies in incubators almost had misty eyed congressmen signing up for military duty themselves . That’s silly of course …wars are for other people’s children to die in.
White guilt is something the Sulzbergers and the NYT are well aware of.
Or stories about Bush bombing “baby formula factories” … whatever the hell that is?
https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1991-01-24-mn-1101-story.html
I remember that one. The Iraqi had smocks with “baby milk factory” written on them in English. Between Gulf War 1 and 2, CNN produced puff pieces on Saddam to get access. CNN lies go back a long way.
I’ll just drop this here again … re: what Canadian Dairy can do with all their excess milk solids …
Hey Canada! Ya wanna dump powdered milk products on the world market!? Here’s an idea! Why don’t you dump them in “Palestine” (Gaza) instead? You know … those noble people you cheer are starving. Why don’t you have the Canadian Navy build a dock, and you can dump all your government subsidized milk solids on the starvin’ Muslim chil’ren?
Or would you rather wait till Hollywood (and Katie Perry) hosts another Live Aid Benefit Concert?

I read elsewhere that they only posted their correction on X where it’s read by only a few thousand people but that they did NOT post it in their newspaper.
I’ve got an idiot-brother who gets the NYT paper version delivered to his home.
He needs to keep dwelling in his delusion.
Yes. Notice that the “correction” comes from an account named NY Times Communications, not from the NYT main account.
NYT posts a fake picture
One day later they post an editorial comment not quite admitting their gullible stupidity
Another day later Axios posts a picture of the same woman and child to support their narrative
Why anyone should believe anything coming from the New York Times, from the “Soviet Miracle” in the 1930s, to Jayson Blair in the 2000s, to the latest propaganda in service to Hamas. Nothing changes, they are yellow journalists since at least the 1890s.
The poor kid has cystic fibrosis. His mother is obese. If you want to see what a starving population looks like, get some pics of the siege of Leningrad. I’m sure Hamas thughs are well-fed. But the MSM goes for it, and sell the propaganda to normies. They are complicit in the lie, one of many, not the first and not the last.
