  1. And all Disney can do is praise THEIR rescue crew in their boat. Not a word about the father who went in to save his daughter.

My guess? Disney lawyers cautioned that any praise for the father’s action would just encourage others to “dangerously” attempt to save COB’s (children overboard).

    1. Yes, mention the father as part of the story, but he shouldn’t even need to given special mention. He isn’t a hero when what he did was what every father ought to do.

  2. It sounded like a good story of heroism, but it appears it is soon to be tainted by stupidity (if the story coming out is true that the girl fell in after the father put her up on the rail for a picture).

    1. I’ve read that some fall off cruise ships because after getting tanked in a bar they go outside and get up on the railing to relieve themselves into the ocean. Oops.

  3. Everybody got their goddammed phones out to record the rescue, but nobody could be arsed to throw a life preserver into the ocen for them.

    1. I saw one story saying three life rings were thrown. Whether they landed anywhere near the swimmers is another question.

      1. 35 second mark – You can see 3 of the orange life rings thrown after they went overboard
