Great Success!

Penticton Herald- 18-year-old from Ivujivik takes action against Elections Canada

Tiivi Tullaugak says he wants to hold the government agency accountable for failing to arrive in his community on April 28, federal election day, to set up polling stations.

Elections Canada is investigating why people were denied the chance to vote in seven Nunavik communities on election day. Polling stations in Akulivik and Tullaugak’s community of Ivujivik never opened, and in five other communities they operated for only part of their scheduled eight-hour window.

  1. I’m reasonably certain that since someone other than a Librano was elected in the Constituency in the 2021 election. They had to eliminate places that don’t vote Librano. Hence getting a Lord Carney Librano elected in 2025.

Librano’s can’t lose native country and it is Québec after all.

In a just system, the results would be declared controverted and there would be a by-election called.

  2. I think that, because there were so many improprieties and miscounts in the April election, we need to have a re-do.

  3. No volunteers from the community?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an election worker or observer under 70. Might see a lot more of this in the future.

    1. Good observation, Bunny.
However, while many of the election workers looked old where I voted, there were some others who looked much younger, but, then again, I am a geezer.
My wife thinks I am a young looking geezer, though, for what it’s worth.
That said….I mistrust our electoral process, and I think that it is moot anyway, given that our parliamentary democracy (westminster or whatever) system has been usurped by what I call our new “soft authoritarian” situation, complete with a grey global worm tongue.
      Have a nice day.

    2. That is a bit bizarre. Sending in poll workers from outside the community because no locals volunteered. They are paid something like $500 bucks for a days work. That “w” word scares them.
