    The great myth Canadians tell themselves is that they are nice, polite people. In reality, they are quite awful people hiding behind a facade of niceness. A massive inferiority complex causes them to be envious of other nations and provinces success. The pettiness and jealousy is revealed by every snobby, passive-aggressive utterance.

As in, pompous Canadians refuse to accept than citizens from Alberta and Saskatchewan should be allowed to voice any of their concerns about their second class status in confederation. All decisions about their economy must be made in southern Ontario and shall be obeyed without questions or complaints.

          The pretentious Canadian was a stereotype that arose from the privileged class of British expats that after the American revolution sought refuge in what was referred to as Upper Canada. They held firm to the belief that in short time they would be able to return to the original colonies that had abandoned the empire under their newly formed “United States” would inevitably sink into anarchy and would be begging for their return. In the mean time they would retain the proper order of things where the right people would maintain peace, order, and what they saw as good government, while the lower dross of society would toil away to keep things going along as they should. Namely, that if you didn’t have the right last name, lived on a lesser street, or heaven forbid … the frontier far from the center of their world, your lot in life was to sit down, shut up, and do as ordered.

A country’s conceit resting on achievements of previous generations but now upon preening over our “inclusivity” that lets stone-age terrorist groups parade down the streets; state-sponsored mercy killing; “free” decrepit healthcare that boasts one the lowest outcomes per dollar spent and when we speak of universal care it means your fellow Canadians will coerce that “care” onto you for the greater good, your rights be damned; ritual economic suicide in the name of a specious weather “crisis”; and of course, the omnipresent boogeyman of America that we reflexively demonize, despite our commonalities and having benefited from access to its markets and its defence umbrella.

      But as we circle the drain, whose plug we pulled on ourselves, at least we can take solace that hockey is our game and that we’re not for sale (unless it’s China).

        What I find truly astonishing is the level of disconnect among those “people.”
        They are claiming that the US has become a “culture of death” because their recent policy shift on immigration is resulting in a few deaths by the way these “refugees” are being manhandled, but Canada is such a much better society PRECISELY BECAUSE Canadians have the “right to choose” what to do with their own bodies (except when it comes to the jab — had to work that point in there somewhere), and that Canadians are able to decide how they want to die!
        Think about that for a moment.

They have little to no understanding of political and economic issues in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Instead of seeking to understand and constructively discuss those issues, they reflexively lash out and attack citizens from Alberta and Saskatchewan.

        A confident, mature country would attempt to build bridges instead of burn them down. In fact, a confident country would champion and assist their successful industries instead of constantly trying to tear them down. Alberta and Saskatchewan have grown tired of these antics from the rest of Canada, since it only gets worse as the decades pass.

        The only way for Alberta and Saskatchewan to win the game is to leave the game.
