Armstrong Economics- Canada to Take Over for USAID?

Canada has agreed to fund woke programs abandoned by USAID. As the nation grapples with a barely functioning government and cost of living crisis, the Canadian government is funding what it believes to be a top priority – implementing LGBTQ programs in a Muslim nation.

  1. Are there no adult voters in Canada? Annexing Canada would be bad for U.S., but might be the only to stop throwing your taxes into brain-dead programs.

    1. Canadians don’t get to vote. Our leaders are appointed. Witness the recent PM appointment. So, there is no stopping this garbage.

        2. The next election must be called by October, 2025.

          Mark Carney will call an election at the earliest opportunity. The longer he waits, the more the voters will learn what he’s really like and the more votes he loses.

          Currently the Liberals are riding higher in the polls due to the bounce from the leadership contest and the backing from the bought-and-paid-for media.

          2. Current legislation calls for an election every four years, which means by Oct 2025 (Canada Elections Act). This timing can be altered by an act of Parliament.

            Whether this is mandatory, I honestly don’t know. Liberals think the law is flexible.

            What is mandatory is elections must be called every five years or less (Section 4 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms). This cannot be changed by a mere act of parliament.

            Theoretically, it is possible for an election to be delayed if Canada is embroiled in a war or insurrection. I’m not sure how that would work. I believe this has only been done once Federally; by Robert Borden during WW1. For this to happen nowadays the Charter (section 4.2) requires 2/3 approval from the House of Commons.

      1. As with the disastrous Roxham Road crossing – which stayed active during covid, when the rest of us could not travel – the decision is made only on the basis of being anti-Trump.
        (Roxham, you will recall, was the result of Trump 1.0 saying he would deport illegals, and JT immediately announcing that they would all be welcome in Canada. “I am the anti-Trump!”)
        Our liberals, like the American democrats, have only one policy – We Hates Trump. We will do the complete opposite of whatever Trump does, to show how righteous we are.
        So as Trump makes America prosperous and successful financially secure and proud again….we are going to go in the opposite direction.

    5. You can’t kill something that is already dead. Canada financially died about 5 years ago. There is no recovery. Morally, it died about the same time. The populace didn’t recognize it and if they do, they don’t care.

    1. Is this just a very poorly written article? Or, is it a dishonest one? There is nothing listed in this description that suggests catering to the LSIVHIISLGUGIDDLgus lobby.     2. Canada’s Minister of International Development, Ahmed Hussen would likely be a Muslim? Yes? Do you really think he’s going to come out in public and triumph funds to support a lifestyle that he abhors?

    The closest thing I see to potentially referring to the LSIICVHHSIFLDUIJIGG lobby is “vulnerable communities”, and that’s assumption and a stretch. I seriously doubt even the Canadian Government would give funds to a country to support something that country deems illegal.

    2. Orson, you are on to something. The minister used the language “vulnerable communities”. That does not have anything to do with the alphabet people. This is indeed about providing support for state-funded health care.

      1. Canada does it a lot. In 2018-19, Justatwit was touring around African nations extensively. He was showering countries with lots of money hoping to bribe them into voting for Canada for a UN Security Council seat. Justatwit failed, because China which owns most of these countries had its own ideas of what it wanted for the UN Security Council.

      2. This is my take. When I read that a country is funding LGBTQ anything in a Muslim country I translate that to bribes for the politically connected. Give government money into a local NGO, move it offshore to make it untraceable and distribute the cash. Otherwise you would read about LGBTQ people coming together for dance classes in Yemen, and being ceremonially executed for their behavior. Never happens.

    4. My thoughts (although there is some drivel about mine clearing in Bangladesh) is that it’s going to an NGO, and from there nobody knows.
      They probably just lead kids out into potential minefields, toss in a soccer ball and boom! Tragedy!

It is long past time that someone in the social contract, you know the plebians that believe we are governed by an elected representative body that we have installed with the power to act on our behalf, ask the question who and when did we grant the authority to disperse our taxpayer dollars to foreign aid programs. I don’t ever remember voting for any party that stood on a platform that said they were going to send all my hard-earned dollars overseas to foreign entities that were going to spend those dollars on something that I, as donor, had no say in. It is about time the Canadian taxpayer was asked if we want to continue these aid programs or do we want these funds used to update our national defence, our infrastucture, our health services, our education programs and a dozen or more areas that would benefit Canadians.

  21. I’m indifferent to the proposal but I guess when I think about how much it would piss off you assholes, then I could get behind it. Maybe there is some way that a portion of natural resource revenue can be specifically directed to LGBTQ+ projects in Africa and Asia?
