These books were also turned into excellent movies which I also enjoyed (especially the original War of the Worlds which remains a classic). That Wells may have been an antisemitic, student seducing, prostitute loving turd doesn’t bother me at all. He wrote some truly great novels. Give it a try with your pristine background. No one will read your work. Then become an anti-Russian, anti-Muslim, drinking and drug loving bastard, and your novels will improve. Still, no one will read them.
