🚨 TRUMP ON THE NEW "GOLD CARD": "If we sell a million – that's $5 trillion… if we sell 10 million, that's $50 trillion. That means our debt is totally paid off, and we have $15 trillion above that."

I’m not even going to guess how Democrats pretzel themselves to oppose it, only that “fascism” will be involved. But grab a coffee and watch the whole thing when you have time. There’s plenty about Canada as well.

Thank you ED !! I read it … and to be impolite … which I rarely am … the poster has some serious mental issues.
There will be no short supply of those who doubt the visa idea, who will remain shell-shocked as it rolls out, and claim they’ve always supported immigration while it succeeds.
Are there a million people outside of the U.S. with $5 Million USD who’d want to spend it on a “Gold card”?
Interesting. There are certainly a large number of multi-millionaires world-wide, I would think more than enough theoretically. Yet having the “entry fee” and getting the vetting might be the least of most multi-millionaire’s problems — many of them made their wealth “in context,” that is, in the situations they’re actually in. Could they maintain that performance once they moved to a different country?
Even moving from one city to the next within western Canada, I found it very difficult to simply pick up where I’d left off; most of my network fell away, leaving me with years-long rebuilding for even the simplest of things.
The system already exists … and the ChiComs simply buy a house down the Peninsula in Silicon Valley as their “investment” in America, and voila! They’re citizens. It’s a large component of the housing inflation in Silicon Valley.
However … if we actually had an intelligent Press … they’d ask questions such as:
Mr. President … Hongcouver has seen exactly this kind of “Gold Card” investments by the Communist Chinese. But the investment has driven up the price of housing such that most native Canadians are priced out of the housing market. What will you do to manage the inflationary pressures triggered by such an “investment”? and …
What if Apple Corp. buys all these Gold Cards … and then writes off all the expenses on their taxes? Won’t that cause a reduction in tax revenues nearly equal to the income gained by the Gold Cards?
But all we have is a puppet Press who have their scripted questions. They can’t think on their feet or ask any questions with real relevance for the real people of America (or Canada)
Doesn’t seem to pose any problem in Vancouver.
“Are there a million people outside of the U.S. with $5 Million USD who’d want to spend it on a “Gold card”?”
If I had the cash, or the resources, I wouldn’t hesitate!
OMG! I cannot adequately express the utter JOY I just experienced listening to Trump, Musk, and many of his Cabinet Heads speak candidly and openly about his plans for America. Good Lord! America is BACK, baby!!
Trump’s competency and transparency has made me reflect on our last brain dead puppet President who literally HID from our country and read teleprompters to fawning press and supporters. What a STARK difference to have a competent leader and businessman in charge of the largest “corporation” in the history of the world!
I have NEVER been so proud to be an American. My heart is leaping with JOY.
I’m happy for you, Kenji. I only wish that the MAGA attitude would somehow make it’s way north. We could use some of that DOGE here.
… and Britain

… and, and, and …
Except in CaNaDuH, anyone with wealth is called out, put down, and, becomes a target to be taxed and held back. Because they must have ripped people off to get wealthy.
Socialism 101
Of course, the obvious criticism is “it’s clear now that green card visas are only for the rich”!
But America & Canada & Switzerland & Portugal and many other places have always had a business investor class of visa. So the objection now will be for 2 reasons: 1. It’s Trump proposing it. 2. The visa is identified as “gold”.
Isn’t “Visa Gold” already a trademark? 😉
“Platinum”? Damn! That too.
“Black”? Damn! Taken.
“Sapphire”? Nope.
“Ink”? Can’t do it.
“Freedom” Nah.
Trump card?
Winner!
“Trump card?”
Good one.
That’s brilliant.
Very true, Robert. There are visas available for foreign investors willing to invest in the US. I had a law firm from the US explain my options to me. Needless to say, none of it was encouraging, but I did gain some valuable info.
L- Genius level brilliant for the American economy. Also, needed to catch up to and surpass
China. The best and brightest from Canada will buy them, along with successful small and
medium sized businesses, whose major market is America.
Canada by comparison is turning into a third world economy, a narco-state, but with world
class money laundering services. Trudeau Liberals doing the best, they know how.
Let me also tell you what’s genius-level (Musk) BRILLIANT about this …
Remember the OUTRAGE expressed by Steve Bannon (and moi) over the proposed expansion of the H1-b Visa program? That Steve and I both agreed the H1-b is a fine program when it is truly limited to people with exceptional or rare talents … but is horsehit if it’s being used to recruit slavish, cheap labor for mundane work performed by certain East Indian imports. Well … Trump (and I am certain -Musk) just created a program of immigration that virtually certifies only the Best and the Brightest will flow into America.
Genius-level solution to the H1-b Visa immigration program
Assuming that it’s $5 million per family (otherwise few would bite if they could not bring dependents with them) and assuming that 10 million people pay up, that means potentially 40 million or more new citizens in the US, many of whom would inevitably come from Asia, the Middle East and India. Is this what Trump really wants? I doubt that there’s more than 1 million Europeans who could come up with the cash.
I mean, what a price tag. But if it pays off the US debt….
… then I think this view of immigration would be welcomed with open arms.
Certainly more preferred than sneaking across a border.
Some good questions raised in this thread.
But is really is a breath of fresh air to see new ideas like this, from Trump.
So much better than hearing Biden talk about what ice cream he was eating.
“Some good questions raised in this thread.

It really is. Love him or hate him, you can’t argue that he is not innovative in his approach to political problems. Look at the just Abraham Accords alone: every US President in the last 50 years has tried and failed to bring peace to the Middle East…but Trump not only figured it out but came very close to doing it (before he was rudely interrupted by a stolen election). You must know how many of his political ‘advisors’ probably told him “No, you can’t do (x) here”…and he responded with “why not?”.
I’d say he has learned from his past mistakes and figured out how to navigate The Swamp now.
I’d say he has learned from his past mistakes and figured out how to navigate The Swamp now.
Agreed.
Contrast this with the past 4 years and the accumulation of 12 million liabilities on society.
One party builds, and the other destroys.
One Party GIVES
the other Party TAKES
Trump lost me at about 47:40 — “Justin Trudeau, nice guy, I think he’s a very good guy. I call him governor. I think he should be governor…”
Yeah, what bullshit.
He has also said he LIKES Xi Jinping, one of the most evil men on the planet.
Learn the Art of the Deal. You will understand why, but if you focus on just one data point, you lose track of the process, and the goal.
That’s what his detractors are good at, losing track and focus of their faculties.
Sales of even 200,000 would net $1 trillion.
I imagine they have done a study of HNW individuals worldwide before launching this idea.
How many would do this for their children?
key word: vetted.
I guess more Canadians might finally pull their heads out of their a–es.
What’s that quote ?
You might not be interested in politics .
But sooner or later it takes an interest in you.
One things for sure Trump’s serious about delivering on his promises.
Interesting times is an understatement.
Another question: how long would it take to properly vet 5 million people? Including dependents, that might be 20 million. Probably years.
The previous version was a mere $1Million cash, and run a business employing two or more.
It was cancelled on December 31st 2016 by President elect Trump.
Kind of like illegal immigrants only legal immigrants with lots of money.
His comment ‘Canada don’t subsist as a nation’. Here in brain dead, stupid Canada all the talk is about retaliation. Are they that stupid to not realize tariffs on Canadian goods will kill Canada’s economy. Or are our politicians just playing to the ignorant Canadians? It will be interesting to see how long Canada lasts before it fails.
