    Apparently Trudeau has no such reservations.

    And neither did Pierre as we have never paid back dollar one to what he borrowed.

    Unfortunately, Poilievre has also committed to pissing money into the Ukrainian wind, so there will be no disagreement or debate.

      1. As I often use the analogy, the Turd is in the driver’s seat, and has floored the accelerator. Rather than demand that the turd hit the brakes and turn the car around before it flies off the edge of a cliff, PP is asking the turd to simply take his foot off of the accelerator.
        Same objectives, different ways of achieving the objective. I don’t trust PP, but let’s face reality. He is STILL the only option available at the moment to at least (hopefully) hit the brakes.

        1. I’m cheering for Trudeau and Carnage to wreck the place. The faster that happens the faster Alberta will be independant or part of the USA. I’d prefer the former, would accept the latter. A CPC government only slightly delays festivities.

          2. Tempting thought. Though there will be a lot of pain involved at least in the short term for even Albertans.
            Realistically though, I don’t think that there’s enough Albertans with the gonads to tell Ottawa to FOAD, and I don’t believe that will change in my lifetime.
            Our best hope, at least in the short term, is to get the liebs out of government so that they can’t do any more damage to the country’s economy. We may already be beyond the point of repairing the damage they caused in the past nine years (nearly ten now), but we have to at least give PP the opportunity to try and fix things, and if he can’t, that’s when we start looking for alternatives for not only Alberta, but the west in general.

          1. I was telling everyone months ago when the cons were riding high in the polls, and people were predicting a con supermajority, that it was way too early to be counting chickens.
            Now I have to say to everyone, especially the cons, not to give up, but to fight harder. Get the message out about Carnage, that he’s a fake, and that his promises to cancel the carbon tax isn’t worth a hill of beans.

    2. I don’t agree with much of what Trudeau does, but we must support Ukrainian. You cannot let another country invade its Neighbour. Military aggression must always be stopped. There can be no peace deal till Russia leaves Ukrainian. Trump is wrong if he doesn’t support Russia leaving Ukrainian whatever the cost in lives and treasure.

Are you willing to take up arms personally, do you feel that strongly about it? I’m genuinely curious. I really want to know. And does it count for any regional conflict down to the tribal level, or is Ukraine a special case?

It’s institutions are corrupt, even worse than Canuckistan… Much worse, actually, and it is distasteful for me to see how callous the war-mongers, who are getting rich off of hundreds of thousands of people dying in this terrible war.
        As for who started this war, yes, Putin was out of line invading Ukraine, but then, Ukraine was attacking it’s own people in the Donbas region, where the people there associated more with Russia than Ukraine. Then there was a CIA sponsored coup in 2014, Joe Biden getting the lead prosecutor fired over his son’s involvement with Burisma, the promise of NATO not to encroach further into eastern Europe to convince the Soviets to tear down the Berlin Wall (promises made, promises broken)…
        Not an exhaustive list, but maybe you can see Putin’s state of mind with all of this happening when he decided to invade Crimea.
        I’m not trying to defend Putin. I’m simply reviewing the history behind this conflict. A conflict that should have never happened, had Boris not scuttled a potential peace agreement between the two waring nations.

      3. That has never bothered him before. As I’ve said previously, our western democracies are based on somewhat honorable people debating ideas and if you do something egregious, you hang your head in shame and leave. There was never a provision for this situation of all parties being dishonorable.
        The USA came the closest, with their second amendment. The problem with it being that no one wants to disturb their comfy lifestyle by pulling the trigger and even if you do, look at a peaceful protest like the trucker convoy or J6. The government reactions to these were used as a warning shot to the rest of the population.

      levels of national governments down to the provincial and the municipal level. It could be for:
      masks made in China where the marketing arm, a gov’t. uses strong arm tactics of the propaganda of fear, backed up by the threat of armed force by the police. Because of the level
      of fear produced by the mind virus, most bend the knee, for the approx. 30%, who are difficult
      to hypnotize. The threat of police, courts, loss of job and jail is enough. Cov.-19 mRNA genetic
      therapy, experimental, but marketed as “safe and effective” backed up by threats of state violence.

      Or it could involve massive spending on peculiar foreign wars? All financed by debt financing,
      and a very hazy, mysterious strategy, and finally Congress began to ask where did the money, actually go? The laundry question as an after thought.

      The globalist W.E.F. operatives have made fortunes impoverishing their countries economies
      by declaring a war to fight a “Climate Crisis”. Which also required a propaganda campaign to
      alarm the most naive. 1. Announce a crisis. 2. Create fear levels high enough to over ride calm,
      critical thought. 3. Sell a solution paid for by incurring more public debt and goals so vague
      that losing and winning said war are indistinguishable. 4. Repeat until nation collapses into a
      failed state, run by the I.M.F. !

      Am I the only one to see a pattern…? The making of a nation of cynics.

      1. You and I think alike. My view has long been that we have not had sovereign nations for roughly the last 200 years. We are all ruled by the same cabal. But they have found it convenient to maintain that illusion – in some places more than others – while they do everything they can to weaken the people of the once-powerful nations of the west.

        They do so at the fastest pace the citizens of those lands will accept. Or at least the pace at which a large portion comprising the most foolish of them will accept (hello liberals and NDP).

        Every tool at their disposal is used – fake virus threats, unnecessary wars, forced charity overseas, socialist programs, etc. Every potential problem to the people is protected and nurtured, and only the people of concern are ever actually actively persecuted.

        The POSs that we see in “our” governments are willing accomplices, but not our real rulers. They are simply corrupt puppets more than happy to sell out those they purport to serve in exchange for goods stolen from those same people. And many have voluntarily undergone recorded activities to secure their loyalty.

  13. When I triggered my capital gains it was at the lower rate which was advised by our accountant to hold within another company towards retirement fund. Have no other funds towards my retirement so this was a wise decision, CRA decided should pay the amended inclusion rate to the higher one. After months of pushback they finally let go of that idea.

    Last week CRA sent an audit letter that I have 5 days to respond or face legal action. Another round of accountants time and expense.

    So to all the those CANADA lovers out there, is this where that core identity lies. I’ve worked, employed and have followed the laws of this land faithfully, while these eastern elites stab the people in the back that made this country prosperous for everyone who has goals and purpose.

      Anyone that has filed with capital gains, is in a 7 year window to be audited from the filed year. Any sizeable CG filing, should be done by your accountant or bookkeeper, it won’t stop an audit, but the process should be better, provable and contestable.
