  1. And Joe seems to think that life in Canada is so grand.
I believe I would qualify for MAiD. Right now, you still can decline MAiD, but how long will it be before you no longer have a choice? Remember the movie Logan’s Run?
My desire to immigrate to the US is not just a quality of life issue. It’s rapidly becoming a LIFE issue entirely!

    1. America: come to run away from the freedom to choose your death, stay for the coming ICE-enforced police state and food shortages.

      1. You have a very strange way of looking at world issues, UnReal.
Deporting illegal immigrants makes the US a police state? Really?
Freedom to choose your death? After I made the point that the slippery slope will eventually take that choice away!

Once again, UnReal…. LOGAN’S RUN! That’s the society you seem to want!
Goodness… How unreal can you get?

        1. Hey, if it’s a society that has the young Jenny Agutter walking around in it, I just might want it too.

    2. Yup. The “medical” will be replaced by “mandatory”.

      And no one will notice.

      1. Yup and the UnMes of the world will still go on being legends in their own corrupted mind.
        Blind tolerance breeds idiots.

    3. If Joe Biden hasn’t already voluntarily MAIDed himself … then I’ll NEVER EVER EVER allow myself to get MAIDed. Shouldn’t Dokktor Jill already prescribed a quiet, peaceful, ending of Joe?

      1. …and I don’t intend to relocate to any of those 11 (probably blue) states!

Don’t think I haven’t tried writing to politicians. I wrote to both Governors Abbott and DeSantis.
I realized it was a long shot, but I had nothing to lose. I suppose you can guess what the reply was. Zilch!
I even wrote to Viva Frei! Same result.

As for Panama, I’m not as optimistic as your friend.
        From your source:
Pensionado Visa: Designed for retirees, this visa requires a minimum monthly pension income. Benefits include discounts on healthcare, entertainment, and travel.
Friendly Nations Visa: Available to citizens of specific countries, including Canada, this visa is intended for those who plan to work or invest in Panama. It requires proof of economic ties to the country, such as starting a business or purchasing property.
Professional Employment Visa: For individuals who have a job offer from a Panamanian company. The company must sponsor the visa application.

        Strikes one, two, and three!!!
Sounds much like the restrictions preventing me to immigrate to the US!
I have thought about Belize, but the culture shock would have been too much for me.

So you see, I’m way ahead of your suggestions, even though you offered them in a spirit that is less than helpful.
And after the past 5 years, I’m surprised that you would deny that this country is not a hell hole of authoritarian banana-republic-styled dictatorship. Give me an hour, and I’ll come up with a laundry list of superlatives that describes how I feel about this country, and what this government has done to absolutely destroy my life, and drive wedges between me and my own family, so much so, that I had to move half way across the country away from my home to survive this wretched economy.

    1. UnREAL!!!

The primary freedom, the primary right, IS THE RIGHT TO LIFE!

You and your lie-beral weenies seem to value death over life.

Referring the culture of death as “Freedom” after we’ve seen how easily our rights and freedoms can be taken away by a dictatorial, totalitarian regime is… I can’t find the words to describe your world view. The best word I can think of is “Twisted.”

      1. Back off, fc. The 7th grade troll is just excited because he found out his chocolate ration has been increased from 50 grams to 30 grams.

        1. Davis, UnMe surely knows fetus is Latin for “offspring, bringing forth, or hatching of young,” but his ideology skips that b/c “freedom” (for the powerful). In Bananada, women have special rights to murder the unique being in their belly, b/c “freedom” except, as you note, the next generation’s powerless baby-to-be, w the potential to love, live and give, has no choice but to die for fickle convenience and ghoulish “freedom.”

Recall, the Nazis were top-heavy with “science” and the smartest doctors, philosophers and the absolute best and brightest of their society (except the Jews, of course). UnMe is superior is every way that matters to him. We just need to get used to his amazing insights, and pretend we don’t hear the like broadcast everywhere already.

Every single abortion advocate had a mother who let them live.

      1. Well, is it consensual? If someone isn’t in their “right mind”, how can it be consensual? If someone is one all kinds of drugs, how can it be consensual? I mean, isn’t that how we define unwanted sexual activities? So define it please. Thanks.

        1. After the fact there is only the doctor as witness, consider the clot shot your doctor gave you destroyed your life and you confront him. Next thing you know he will say he ask for MAID there is the corps. So much fr consensual.

      2. Leave it to UnReal to come to a debate with a self-defeating argument.
Another word that comes to mind: Denialism.

  2. Responsibility for decisions is tough, and many who choose MAiD are unwilling to take responsibility for the biggest decision in their life, namely their death. The government should not be enabling the irresponsible.

Suicide is often unsuccessful when people attempt to take their own life, and that’s because they are faced with taking responsibility for that decision, and faced with that responsibility they realize it’s the wrong decision.

  3. The numbers she quoted don’t sound correct. 7% of the population of Quebec is not 4k. I think she meant 7% of total deaths.

  4. Its plain old homicide, not eugenics.
The climate change narrative is closer to eugenics, as it discourages some people from breeding, as is the economic destruction visited upon us.

    eugenics /yoo͞-jĕn′ĭks/
    noun
    1. The study or practice of attempting to improve the human gene pool by encouraging the reproduction of people considered to have desirable traits and discouraging or preventing the reproduction of people considered to have undesirable traits.
    2. The science of improving stock, whether human or animal.
    3. A social philosophy which advocates the improvement of human hereditary qualities through selective breeding.

  5. I think this is simply the new treatment program for the chronically ill and elderly. All my life I saw a doctor for 2 minutes every 10 years. Then I get old and the government refuses to educate enough doctors to have one available when I need one. This is Alberta. I had maybe a dozen lab tests done and one of the online results came back wonky. I waited a couple days and called the clinic and asked whether the doctor could call me and I wouldn’t take more than a minute of his time. The terse-C word that answered said I could book an appointment for a phone consultation and they are booking 3 weeks out. MAID or not, sounds like they are thinning the herd. This is a young Canadian born doctor. Maybe the graduate from the University of Zimbabwe who sees me as a descendant of slavers might have more sympathy.
