  4. Quite annoying actually, that every news outlet in Canada is covering this Librano$ race as ‘breaking news’.
    Guys at NP, TorRedStar, CTV, CBC etc, I’m pretty sure that most Canadians couldn’t care less of the little different shades Librano candidates are. Nor about nuances in which they are not Castro Jr.
    But Yeah, we all know: you-all do this crap for pro-Librano PR. Because when ur a presstitute paid by Blackie&co, of course ur gonna carry their water, no matter how stale & stinking.

  5. Well, I’m not really worried about Carney. The only reason Trudeau was elected was because of his last name and voters had gotten tired of the Conservatives. Before Trudeau Jr. the Liberal Party was living on life support. I doubt voters will forget the scandals, incompetence and corruption of the Liberal Party in time to support Carney and the Liberals. He doesn’t have the celebrity power that Liberal voters are looking for in a leader.

    I rarely underestimate the gullible and silly voters in eastern and central Canada but I’m fairly confident that Carney isn’t a big threat because the Trudeau Liberal-NDP government was so awful.

    1. I tend to agree. Carney was a bankster. As head of two national banks, the ultimate bankster. Voters never much like bankers in any form as their leaders.

      Another reason he’s not a serious threat is that he’s no better at communicating than Garden Gnome Barbie. This swine too tends to talk down to people in the most disparaging way possible.

      1. Yep, my first impression is that he reeks of arrogance. I can’t see how he will be able to relate to ordinary people. Under pressure he’s likely to talk down to people and be dismissive of their everyday concerns. He will be under pressure because he has many statements and acquaintances that will be questioned by the Conservatives. Control freaks do not like to be questioned by people they consider lesser beings. He’ll likely go off script when he gets angry. His team will probably have him avoid any situation they can’t completely control.

          1. Yes, no inconvenient or challenging questions. Although, I doubt the Liberal government funded Canadian media will pose any tough questions either. Everything will be stage managed with the help of Canadian media. Glowing coverage of Carney and low blows on the Conservatives. Massaged poll numbers. “Expert” opinions. Anonymous sources. Outright lies. Ridiculous questions. Out of context edited quotes. Etc., etc.

            You know, the usual dirty tricks used in Canadian politics.

  7. On January 18th, 2008, just before the Carney took over at the Bank of Canada, the overnight rate was 4.25%, with an inflation target of 2%.

    In the first year and a bit of the Carney, it dropped all the way down to 0.25% on April 30th, 2009 and still the target for inflation was 2%.

    By the time the Carney fled for the bank of England, in 2013, the overnight rate had risen to 1%

    At least during that time, we didn’t have the drag on the economy caused by the carbon tax, and related liberal policies. We can expect that the Carney will still promote “net-zero” growth policies, just like those he is advising.

  8. The other baggage that he brings is that he doesn’t have a seat in the House of Commons. When he assumes the mantle of maximum leader, he will have to let an underling field questions for him when Parliament resumes. If he somehow manages to convince Singh to delay the election, then he’ll need to call a by-election which is problematic considering that no Liberal seat is considered safe today. The clock is ticking.

  10. Carney is in thick with Davos and WEF. He worked to internationally financially sabotage the Canadian oil snd gas industry.
    Will he point to Ireland’s economy since he holds Irish citizenship?
    Will he point to the British economy since he also holds British citizenship?
    Will he follow Liberal practices and cede Canadian sovereignty to the UN?

  11. If carney is in the running, it is an sign of very bad things to come. The wef has declared that they find elections to be obsolete and are no longer necessary in their democracy. Think zelensky. Mandate, as dubious as it was, expired last May, yet is still considered by many to be the president of the ukraine.

  16. The thing I love about bankers … they drop interest rates to zero in an economy that is not in a recession. This leads to runaway inflation. They raise interest rates until people start defaulting on their mortgage. Then they claim to have tamed inflation.
