  1. Trudeau isn’t resigning? After the caucus finishes beating him up he just might. Imagine a vote in caucus demanding his resignation and he then walks outside to waiting reporters, announces an election, and then resigns leaving the sheep leaderless a month before polls. He is just vindictive enough to do it. And if he does it immediately he can call the election for before Jagmeet solidifies his pension, a final FU.
    But if he stubbornly hangs on there is another plane of weakness. In his Papineau riding he is leading the NDP by 3%. If the opposition parties get together to reinforce the NDP they can defeat him in the eventual election. All they have to do is remind Papineau voters that the libs will lose the election anyway and as the loser leader he will be deposed immediately afterward so any vote for Trudeau is a wasted vote in the truest sense of the word. What better goodbye than to lose his last election.
