    1. Now here is an example of prudery spoiling art. The alliteration is what makes “no shit, Sherlock” witty. To abandon it to avoid rudeness is to allow virtue to erase merit. I know you act from sincere motives as an honest Christian, and I rather admire you for it, but should a Christian conscience be satisfied with the suppression of merit by virtue? Should they not enhance each other rather than conflict?

  1. The coming Poilievre government is going sell off the CBC, right? Just like previous governments have sold off the national oil company, the national railway and the national airline, right?

If they don’t, they’re showing why they’re known as the stupid party.

    1. Or they’re just the Party of Kang, taking over after years of mis-rule from the Party of Kodos.

Keeping people on the reservation through their belief in the power of the people via (s)elections.

  2. Well, CTV had an ad last fall that stated that they weren’t there to inform us with the news, but to use the news to shape our opinions.

    1. And your typical CTV didn’t even perceive anything wrong with that statement. Also, CBC viewers and listeners won’t find out about the ombudsman statement, because of course the CBC would never report it.

  3. Unwise is not the word I’d use.
And confirmation bias is what Liberal Leftard’s live for and why freedom scares them so.

  4. Jack Nagler tells us not to rely on CBC News for the full story. Brave words upon his retirement, but he has been MIA for many of his 34 years at the Corpse. I wrote to Mr Nagler a few years ago regarding the “Being Black In Canada” banner on their news site showing five fists raised in the Black Power salute of the sixties. Mr Nagler said he did not ‘have the authority to remove the banner” and suggested writing to their news boss Brodie Fenlon. I did so and got a flannelling response that did nothing to inspire confidence in the news service. I wish Mr Nagler well in retirement but wish he’d shown more courage earlier in his career.

  5. It’s an expensive propaganda arm of the left and now opposed to the current direction of the electorate. It has almost no viewers and it is paid for by those who choose not to watch it. It is like a mangy deer flopping around on the roadside after being hit by someone without the morality and courage to put it out of its misery.

  6. I once got a response from him that he needed my full name/address/phone number in order to investigate an article that was objectively wrong, and completely misrepresented the quote in question, replacing important context with a “…”

    So he’s just another hack

  7. … Jack Nagler tells 40 million Canadians, who lost trust in the CBC approximately 34 years ago, not to trust the CBC now that he’s received his golden shower, er gold watch. But continue funding it so we go bankrupt financially and morally. Take your advice Jack and shove it where your co-workers play.

  8. It’s a public secret.
Everybody that’s interested in the affairs of men knows that.
None the less there are still hundreds of thousands that think the tv station is the best.
It remains to be seen what is the next prime minister going to do about that.
