To adapt the White House around the needs of a diminished leader, they told visitors to keep meetings focused. Interactions with senior Democratic lawmakers and some cabinet members—including powerful secretaries such as Defense’s Lloyd Austin and Treasury’s Janet Yellen—were infrequent or grew less frequent. Some legislative leaders had a hard time getting the president’s ear at key moments, including ahead of the U.S.’s disastrous pullout from Afghanistan.
Senior advisers were often put into roles that some administration officials and lawmakers thought Biden should occupy, with people such as National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, senior counselor Steve Ricchetti and National Economic Council head Lael Brainard and her predecessor frequently in the position of being go-betweens for the president.
Press aides who compiled packages of news clips for Biden were told by senior staff to exclude negative stories about the president. The president wasn’t talking to his own pollsters as surveys showed him trailing in the 2024 race. […]
This account of how the White House functioned with an aging leader at the top of its organizational chart is based on interviews with nearly 50 people, including those who participated in or had direct knowledge of the operations.
… but we tried our best …
They overlooked it when he ran in 2020. If you have experience with it,it was obvious. The story telling is a big part of it.

Yup. Time for some consequences for having lied to the American people for years about who was actually running the country.

Yup. If they had told the truth, they could have had Kamala running the country instead. (It doesn’t really matter who they have as Vice President, until it does … then it really, really does.)

So true. I’d heard her referred to as “25th Amendment insurance”.
Love the way Dr. Jill used her to screw Pelosi and Obama and the rest (because we know that Senile Joe wasn’t cognizant enough to 0rcestrate it) by endorsing Harris and denying them the chance for a leadership contest.
James O’Keefe …
“During meeting’s in the White House, Under Secretary Robert P. Silvers (@DHS_Policy) admitted there were times where “he’s [Biden] in there, and it’s a blank.”
“[Biden] just can’t get the words out.”

Nancy Pelosi is 84yo … older than Biden … and is pushing the grave
Mitch McConnell is 82yo … same as Biden … and is about to trip his way into a grave
Both of these “Leaders” are mentally compromised, and have done far MORE HARM to our nation than our Alzheimer’s POTUS.
Hiding Biden’s deteriorating condition was a horrific scandal deliberately overlooked by an obsequious press.
The good news is that it cost the Democrats dearly. Had the press been doing its job, the Democrats would never had considered Biden for a 2nd term. They would have held a competitive primary, and the winner would almost certaintly have been far more capable and prepared than the mediocre Harris.
If the media had done properly the job they pretend they do, Biden wouldn’t have been considered for his first term.
Speaking of pretending … the Dimocrats ran Biden because they HAD to pretend that his reign was successful for America. Yeah … lots of pretend and make-believe. They all thought they could fool the American people who have been scrambling just to survive.
No point in even commenting as I weighed in on this when it started. So much for watching the stupid unfold.
covering for incapacitated POTUS’s is a democrat tradition:
woodrow wilson
fdr (no kidding)
jfk with his back injury on pain meds
and now the worst one they’ve ever had
‘mercuh needs to map a strategy/process it NEVER happens again,
the damage then may be world wide.
