      1. Yes. All OBE now.

It looks like more deckchair arranging on the Titanic for our Dear Leader’s hapless government in their Ottawa Trudeaubunker.

  1. And whenever we get a prime minister we think can end this vile monstrosity once and for all, they go running off to cower in a corner.
Right mister Harper? What say you Poilievre?
    But instead we’re going backwards.

  2. I can identify. I could use another half billion dollars a year myself.
And as we know from other federal government grifters, the condos in New York where the CBC execs live don’t come cheap.

  3. They already get $1.5 billion too much already.
State media belongs in the past, in 1940s dictatorships, not in a modern democracy.
    Dismantle the CBC.

    1. Back in the 1990s, there were talking heads everywhere calling themselves “futurists” and declaring that mankind had reached a new age, the “information age”, in which the cost of replicating and transmitting information was plumetting toward zero. If the cost of information is near zero, then why does it need taxpayer subsidies?

  4. PP should advertise for a two-for-one sale. Whoever takes the CBC, he’ll throw in Canada Post (without their first class mail monopoly). Upset price is one dollar.

I suspect Freeland is resigning to avoid the humiliation of her runaway deficit even without the 5 billion vote purchase attempt. She could be distancing herself from the Spawn and his collapsing reign positioning herself to be next LPC leader in case Carney doesn’t go for the anointment.

    1. She publicly, in print, called them gimmicks. The vote purchase attempt is exactly what this is all about. To some extent this was triggered by the US elections. It was the realization that ‘this is serious and if we don’t get our act together we are effed.’

Instead Justatwit wants to play stupid bribery games with the voters. So, Garden Gnome Barbie blamed and shamed him.

The big winner out of this is DJT. There will be no coherent Canadian national pushback on his tariff promises. The second winner is all of us. Justatwit and his now very small gang of fools may not last as a government more than another few weeks or months.

  5. I’m pretty sure the CBC is getting more $$ from the leftist government political organ than Pravda ever did from the USSR

  6. If they need $500 million then cut their budget by $500 million and see how quiet they get. We’ve gone from the public service working for Canadians to Canadians working for the public service.

    1. They already know what’s coming. It’s the full haircut. Look at Rosie Barton’s face on television today. She knows she and all the rest of them at the Ceeb are the walking dead.

  7. Let CBC die and salt the earth where it once stood. Been saying that since they lost Bonanza and Don Messer’s Jubilee.
