Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

First, thank you.
Second, I have loved Bob James for near on 50 years, from Taxi to he and Earl Klugh to Fourplay and shite he did with Lee Ritenour.
Bob always championed young talent, the way jazz guys do, and this video is one more example.
He just showcased a fine bass and drummer.
Miles Davis did that, too, which is why I love Scofield and Marcus Miller.
As for Bob James…he made Chuck Loeb and Nathan East happy.
Excuse the ramble, it’s only because I love that jazz way of doing it.
Anything Fender Rhodes is OK with me. But when it comes to composition and Jazz melody …

Fair enough, but Bob did it better without a technical stick up his whatever Fagen was fixated on. And he didn’t put guitar players in a row. Don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing, Ask Herbie. H.
Where’s the recorder?
Something seasonal.
