If You Just Stopped Talking About It

It wouldn’t be a problem.

Blacklock’s- Stop Criticizing Says Freeland

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland yesterday appealed to MPs to stop questioning cabinet’s credibility on debt management. Freeland promised to update budget figures next Monday, a day before Parliament is scheduled to adjourn for a five-week Christmas recess.

National Post- The expiry date on what’s left of Freeland’s credibility looks like next week

“I think it is very important not to cast any doubts on Canada’s fiscal credibility,” she said. This from a finance minister who has never hit a fiscal target she has imposed on herself.

  1. ummm, you STILL dont ‘get it’ SDA, its the *sufficient* H-A-R-D C-O-R-E (liberal aka Liberal) voters are the problem. freeland is just some random imbecile plopped into a spot called ‘finance minister’ (in her case more like ‘finesse minister) and labelled Liberal candidate.
and as such gets the VOTES necessary.

STOP GRIPING ABOUT THE VARIOUS PRESENT CABINET MINISTERS AND
FOCUS ON THE ONES THAT PUT THEM THERE.

furthermore do NOT be surprised if blackface pulls a stunt to postpone the election
‘fo da chilldwen’ to stay in the position of powah that CanaDUH wants it/him/xx to be.

    1. No. The election must be called by next October at the latest. A government must go to the polls five years after the results of the previous election were returned. No stunt to defer the election is legally possible. If you are Canadian you should know this instead of spouting nonsense.

      1. cghCOLON
Blathering like an dumb IDIOT again, parlez is correct, and you sound like Donny Morass, who stated it was almost impossible to cheat in canadian elections, and how did that age?

          1. try this cg, if the TURDeau does in fact pull off a ‘coup’ WHO is going to step up to the plate? some cop on the beat? some lackey he appointed? oh, wait, A PETITION will do it. since when is ‘the law is the law is the law’ used in the interests of the ‘little guys’? hmmm? get it ass wipe? THE LAW DONT MEAN SQUAT with the likes of the TURDeau. where is your precious ‘law’ in the face of massive corruption snc lavalin? where is your precious ‘law’ in the face of muzzies shouting (exact quote) “death to Canada death to America”.
you might know the ‘law’ what you clearly DONT know is there is a sector in this nation that ignores it because they can AND have a history of doing so.

      2. Read the constitution. In times of emergency, like a war, the government has the power to suspend elections until the emergency passes. Only the Americans are constitutionally bound with the timing of their elections.

        1. In Canada the election timing was changed to four years, it has not been five years for some time now.

    2. The last federal election was Sept 2021.
      2021+5=?

Mulroney ran out the 5 year clock between 1988 and 1993.

Don’t be surprised if there isn’t an election October 2025.

  2. The utter presumption, haughtiness and pomposity of this awful womyn in requesting that people not complain about her and her colleagues not doing their jobs! Would such brazen and naked arrogance – I’m sure her pleas appeal to the Suicidal Empath (read: sucker) in (too) many Canadians – be acceptable in the political culture of ANY other Western country???

I truly have no idea why there are not millions of Canadians with torches, pitchforks and nooses, all amassed on Parliament Hill even as I type this.

      1. They’re going to propose laws to prevent you from noticing. Why not? They already proposed laws against “hate” on line.
Ah, censorship. In for a penny, in for a pound.

Like, for example, people are not supposed to notice that a possible replacement for Freeland as finance minister is Sean Fraser.

        Talk about failing upward…

      2. And that’s why Freakland is waiting till the last possible day before her 5 weeks off to tell brain dead Canadians how much she totally FU her budget.

    1. There are no torches and pitchforks because that might nullify some obscure free stuff. There are still too many in this country who worship the government.

  3. I get the feeling that the credit rating agencies have had discussions with Freeland. Borrowing and interest payments might get considerably more expensive for Canadian taxpayers. Someone needs to take the credit card away from Trudeau.

    1. Not with Freeland, but probably with the Bank of Canada and various lackeys in the Ministry of Finance.

It’s going to be a wonder to see what Government Accepted Accounting Practices will be used to minimize the numbers, when the come out next week. Anyone in business using similar GAAP techniques would probably go to jail for fraud.

      1. I have no doubt there’s creative accounting going on. The way Canadian governments can claim that the CPP is a government asset, even though it is fully funded by employers and employees, is just one obvious way the numbers are torqued. Maybe that’s why Carney has been hired – to help make the numbers look better.

        1. the first 15 years of the CPP the government (liberal) put all premiums into general revenue to spend as they wished

          1. Why do you think the government is so in love with MAiD? The more people that off themselves, the less the government has to spend on pensions and health care!

        2. Carney Barker has rather disappeared lately.. I guess his appearance didn’t come off as the Messiah like they wanted, and as an aside.Michelle Remple Garner was saying reports on the “tax holiday” show average Canadian will save $4.51. But nothing on the costs involved with the implementation of said holiday.

    1. Only if the vibrator is used as a muscle relaxant … you know … for “medical purposes”. She uses hers for mental health purposes … “Oh why am I a frustrated incel?” she moans to herself.

      1. “Moans!” I see what you did there, but I’m not sure if you did that on purpose.

        My, I have such a dirty mind…

  4. What credibility is there left to question? Arguably, the entire caucus of Liberal DEI appointees had little credibility to begin with. I think 60 billion is a test balloon to soften the blow when the real (likely fudged) figure is closer to 80 billion.
But the fake news media will ensure Trump and Harper share the blame.

  5. When they were negotiating the USMCA agreement (US, Canada, Mexico), the representatives of the US thought Freeland was bizarre, unprofessional, and an imbecile. She used to show up at negotiations with notes written in ink on her hands. She’d then glance at the notes and instruct the Canadian representatives with her before leaving.

    1. Eric Ham of CTV “News” is claiming that the proposed 25% tariffs are economic in nature, and he pretends that it has nothing to do with the insecure and weak border with Canada.

The lame-stream media keeps pumping it out, and their viewers keep drinking it up.

  6. Freeland is truly the stupidest human being ever elected to Canadian parliament. The fact that Fidel Jr. gave her a cabinet position speaks volumes for his intellect and general concern for Canada’s well being.

    1. I just spent an hour watching Steve Paikin this morning, after not watching him for quite some time.
And if anyone wants to witness the type of people that hate populism.
Just spend some time on TVOs you tube channel.
The recent episode about Covid is quite interesting, sickening but interesting.

  7. L – Canadians are supposed to refrain from questioning the credibility of the Trudeau regime’s debt management?

What credibility? Describe what it looks like and begin an interplanetary search for it.

9 years of deficits, actually doubling the National Debt during the “Pandemic”. Any remaining credibility evaporated in the winters of 2020-22 in a trail of tears, no, more like a trial of fears, a three year national Psy-op.

The Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus w/sleigh of Reindeer and Tinkerbell, all have more credibility than does the Minister of Finance, C. Freeland and the entire Trudeau cabinet/caucus put together.

Even organized crime keeps a more accurate set of books than Freeland and Trudeau. Look for a secret, second set of books? But that would be in Mandarin and located in the Hidden City and only the C.C.P. Politiburo branch in Vancouver have access to that.

  8. Excuse me Freeland: the budget is due April 1 to 15th of any year. Apparently, you do not have a calendar. Christmas budgets are not OK and your rebates suck: too late and you know it, AS MOST PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY SHOPPED.

Besides, you also know that we have no delivery services, AS YOU HAVE INCOMPETENTLY managed to mess up negotiations with the incompetent Canada Post and affiliates. Thank you for ruining Christmas 2024; believe me, we will ALL remember AS YOU WALK INTO THE SNOW.

  9. I’m not letting Thunder Thighs off the hook, but how fckn stupid is the Bureaucracy? What about her aids and attendants, assistants or whatever the fck you call them?
“Are they diverthity hireth ath well?”
The whole public service is a parasitic shitshow. They’re grossly incompetent.
There needs to be asteroidal type cull of these fckn work-from-home clowns.

    1. They’re lying, lie-beral yes-men (and women) who all have a leftist agenda like the current government. They are determined to make the general population dependent on the federal government. Some would say, as I would, to ENSLAVE the population. I know how the bureaucracy thinks. I had the misfortune of working along side these people.
Just look at the current job numbers. Hardly anyone in the private sector is hiring. 80%, according to my estimates, of new hires are by the public sector.
This is not sustainable, and the people working in the public sector will realize this in good time.

  10. I am willing to think Freeland will not be able to hide the accelerated deficit and debt. Sunday after lunch I will buy more Bitcoin as insurance against the debasement of the $CAD. While typing this, I realize I will make my January (monthly) contribution to Bitcoin early. Between the negative effect of tariffs devaluing our $CAD, and/or the positive effect of USA starting a strategic Bitcoin reserve, I will have bought the protection necessary to store my value away from this Liberal government’s actions.
This was the best website that was ever recommended to me. https://www.debtclock.ca/
    Print baby, print!

    1. I started buying gold – physical gold – not on paper, about 4 years ago when it was around cdn$2,200/oz.
Have you seen what it is today? cdn$3,800. I think it was a good choice!

      And it’s portable!

      1. I used to buy silver coins, have quite a few of them. I stopped when the mint stopped selling and I had to go through a broker.

  11. One has to wonder when or if the can will ever fall off the cliff.
Seems to me they are starting to loose control right in front of everyone’s faces.
If we make it to an election as a financially feasible country. I wonder if Pierre is going to tell the truth when it comes to how far down the hole we are?
I don’t think Canadians have seen anything yet.
And I have to second the notion that the law doesn’t seem to mean much when it pertains to certain politicians .
