This is one of the times I wish I could show you everything that’s behind the paywall.

  1. Hardly surprising. The non-existent state of Canada’s Arctic infrastructure has even come to the attention of the Red Star.

It’s been systematically neglected for four decades. That’s about the time that the Soviet Union collapsed and Canada started cashing in its peace dividend. Harper took no measures to fix this, but Harper had to fight the war in Afghanistan that Paul Martin got us into.

    1. My experience in Canada’s Arctic and Northern regions periodically over a 27 year career with the Engineers and Search and Rescue tracks with yours John. Decades ago it was still mostly raw and poorly serviced at the few significant population centers. Investment services the extraction industry and local hamlets and population centers.

  5. Arctic Defence Small & Weak.
