4. Most 5-year-olds used to know, before being over-parented, which dogs to avoid and how to approach or not. Dogs need to sniff you first, otherwise, do not assume that you are welcome into their lives. An open hand is a good start and watch the reactions.

   My PUREBRED Cavalier, now 12.5 is more picky than she was as a pup. She always has a waggy tail for guests who are mom-approved. She also loves other dogs at a distance, not the aggressive ones with no sensible supervising owners.

   If you bought a flicked-up rescue, have a good time. The worst-behaved dogs are rescues without a supervising adult who actually trains the dog.

   If people from other cultures do not like dogs, NEVER COME TO CANADA. We love dogs here. The fraidy cat woman should be sent to a dog breeding facility for re-training or send home.

      in the time l rented rooms, l would gauge his reaction to the newcomer.
