      I will be surprised if that rail will be completed within 10 years. It will certainly cost more than the estimate.

      For high speed rail, if they are using existing rail routes, every grade crossing needs to be grade separated, which costs $10M to $100M each.
      If they are using a new route, they have to buy all the land, make it flat, and straight as possible, because as speed goes up, the curve radius also has to go up.
