  1. What perfect timing.
I will not be reading the CTV crap, just mocking them.
As CTV has insisted that all who doubt the wisdom,of the State of Thuggery, are mentally ill..
    Mostly through insinuation..
Now they run a headline,”Eating Shit will improve your mental health”..
    Well why not.
This is what these self proclaimed “Government Funded Journalists” do every day.

Their willingness to grovel and lie to the benefit of their Dear Leaders is now so naked that even their regular viewers mock them.
What will be the counter claim?
“Removing ones head from ones ass cures some blindness of reality?”

  2. I cancelled TV because of the feces CTV served, so there are at least some benefits to the idea on some levels.

  3. Go swim in Lake Ontario or St. Lawrence downstream from Montreal, that’ll cure what ails ya.

  4. My mistake.
Yesterday here, this guy Vito said August 13, 2024 at 11:48 am that they will recycle excrement for the masses to eat.
Apparently, there are other uses for that.

  5. Had a buddy who got C-dif colitis from taking antibiotics. His doctor told him he needed a fecal transplant to restore his gut bacteria. I volunteered. I’ve been giving him shit for so long because he’s my friend that I thought I might as well give him shit to help him recover.

  6. A couple things.

    1. Who is financing this research?
    2. How does this research tie into various authoritarian governments banning various forms of crop fertilization?
    3. Relative to # 2, are these same governments going to start approving human waste as a fertilizer to crops?
    4. Why not just eat yogurt to acquire the same pro-biotic benefits of “benevolent” bacteria?

    1. Answer to #4: because getting depressed libtards to eat yogurt is not as funny as getting them to eat poop.

    2. They already tested it some years ago from Calgary waste water recycling.
They put the stuff on a selected field near the city.
Don’t know how it ended up, if it’s still going on and of the success or failure.

      1. I wish I hadn’t looked, but apparently there is a growing effort to use human waste to fertilize crops. They claim it is risk free and based on the massive number of news articles on the topic, someone is pushing the media corporations hard to support such an effort.

Here’s a question for these environmental geniuses (because you know that’s who is pushing this)….have you ever had a small child who developed “Pink Eye”? Guess what causes that. I’m still trying to figure out how Bob Costas got feces in his eye during the last Olympics in China. He must have some interesting habits.

        1. Cities pushing idea as it saves them $$$. No open discussion of all the micro toxins, heavy metals, pharmaceutical residue and every other human element that goes in the mouth and down the toilet drain

      2. Milorganite has been around for years. Only supposed to be used on golf courses and ornamental plants. Not food. Loaded with hormones and heavy metals.

It reeks, but not as bad as fresh liquid cow manure.

  7. CTV article currently has a red banner at the top saying that the WHO has declared monkeypox to be a global health threat. There is some synergy between these two stories. Guys who get monkeypox are also likely to have direct oral contact with feces. Imagine the conversation in the doctor’s office: “The bad news is you have monkeypox. The good news is you’re not depressed.”

  8. Swallowing a dose of human faeces is a sure sign of mental illness.
What’s next … a nice cup of pee?

    1. Mahatma Ghandi drank a cup of his own piss daily , sort of a reflux loop on the kidney process

  9. Yes, eating shit will certainly get rid of your ‘depression’. And since leftists are the most diagnosed with ‘depression’ I’m all for it. And don’t start with the depression is real bullshit, yes people struggle with their lives but we have no idea and never have how to treat it. Current protocols are not making anything better are they?

  10. Not really a great headline to introduce a science topic that is gaining momentum : healthy, balanced gut microbes not only helps digestion but also positively affects brain because of the the brain-gut axis via the vagus nerve. There were some interesting results with a small study on autistic kids where neurological function and behavior improved after healthy microbes were transplanted. Immune function is another area where gut microbes seem to be important. As for ivermectin, there are a study or two that reports that ivermectin feeds/assists good bacteria in the gut but this isn’t mainstream opinion.

But, as stated above by another poster, gut/microbiome health is heavily influenced by diet and medications like antibiotics. Probiotic and prebiotic foods might work for many rather than fecal transplants. Diet, sleep and exercise aren’t given enough credit for maintaining good health.

    – the ctv video wouldn’t play on my phone so I might be repeating what the video reported.

    1. “Diet, sleep and exercise” Nailed it, but instead we get what kind of SSRI’s should I prescribe you?

      1. There’s a place for pharamaceutical medications but, yeah, they’re being handed out like candy on Halloween. Western lifestyles and food habits have certainly not kept people in peak condition. Going back to basics to maintain health will be an uphill battle because we’re conditioned to want immediate gratification and quick fixes.

-I forgot to add in fresh air and sunlight for maintaining good health.

    2. I’ve read some interesting studies on this. Seems if they can replace flora-fauna of your gut in one treatment, might be the answer for some. Ones I read about, were about those having other health issues that had wrecked their gut bacteria and they were suffering from IBS-D without relief from regular meds like Imodium. Long story short I was given far too many antibiotics for a medical condition – endometriosis. BUT after a few years of taking probiotics and addressing some food allergies ( like milk & coffee), I’ve got my system back working like it should.
But you are also very correct – exercise, diet and good sleeping is vital.
PS – one might be a bit depressed if they’re constantly needing the bathroom…. just saying.

      1. It will be interesting to see how the knowledge of the links between gut health, digestive problems, immune system health and brain health develops. I was recently reading about the link between the immune system and Peyer’s patches, which are located at end of the small intestine.

“Peyer’s patches play an important role in immune surveillance of materials within your digestive system. Immune surveillance refers to the process by which your immune system recognizes and destroys potential pathogens.”

  11. Ha. Main stream media been feeding us nothing but shit. I guess the next natural step is to rave about how good it is for us.

  12. Seems to me that years ago they conducted some kind of a trial for this in Walkerton Ontario. Anyone remember how that turned out?

  13. From the people that told you to eat bugs, and be happy…
When they tell you to “eat shit,” they quite literally mean it! They’re not cursing at you. They sincerely believe they are trying to help you.
Now… who want’s to participate in that study group???
Say… Will Americans be able to use this prescription under the new “Right to Try” legislation?
Well, it’s either that, or MAiD.

Give me a few minutes, and I should be able to come up with a few more zingers.

    1. Quite literally, and absolutely accurate!
And as you may know, I am not one to use the word “literally” figuratively.

  14. a tenant moved out after graduating top of the class, moved to tranna etc.
he took only what he cd carry and left his flat screen.
it conked out a yr later. that was 2020. havent owned one and thus seen ANYTHING from ctv or its cousins since. dont have the means. spent lots of time with the puppies tho

  15. They are behind the curve once again. Hitler’s personal physician, Theodor Morell, was feeding him poop pills to deal with his flatulence, he was a vegetarian. Too may beans. It did seem to help with his mental condition, though it could have been the 80 -90 concoctions Morell injected into him.
Onto things that may actually work; there are therapists out there who claim success with clients suffering deep depression, when they switched to a ketogenic it even a carnivore diet. And it tastes better than poop, I’m sure!

  16. Why is everybody focusing on their guts for problems that are really caused by Arseholes?

  17. Eating produce grown with human waste is quite common.
Every time you pick up your winter salads grown in California through irrigation of sewage.
A wonder how they keep the bacterial infections down?

  18. Usual journalism not understanding nor explaining.
Gut microbiome killed off by bad diet/chemicals in food or antibiotics.
So many different ones that probiotics can’t address all of them.
Sounds disgusting but affects whole body health including mental health.

    1. Seems the appendix is used as a storage area for gut fauna, and if it all gets killed off, the appendix squirts a new seed culture in.

  19. Human waste is good for the land with two major caveats. The humans must have ingested no pharmaceuticals and no poor quality food and must not be ill in any way shape or form. Good luck with that,

    H

  20. Judging based on how most Canadians behaved in 2020 and 2021, I would say that many will actually eat feces if told to.

  21. Eating faeces to cure depression?
    Sh!t for brains.
    Literally.
    Y’all must’ve been thinking it.

  22. “Could swallowing a dose of human faeces help cure some mental illnesses? That is what a team of Calgary researchers suspects.”

It would just-as-likely kill you, which I suppose really would cure all your mental illnesses, but… MAID would be quicker – and a lot less unpleasant…
