  1. “…as the power and automobile fleet turns over…”

    Dreaming in Technicolour.
EV’s are on their RIGHTFUL way, flying straight into the sunset – NO ONE is buying the BS.
Personal EV Sales are in the Toilet. Right where they belong…
Alongside Fire Trucks, Garbage Trucks – Buses: 100% Useless JUNK.

So go buy yourself a Hyundai Ionic 5 – but hey, don’t scratch the Battery protective cover, that will cost you a brand new battery: $ 60,000 CAD.

As for so called renewables, they generate SQUAT for Power – In Alberta with some 4350mW installed, they can at the absolute best can produce a max of 15% of rated capacity – maybe 3-4 days out of 365 while utterly destroying landscapes, killing massive amounts of Bats, Migratory birds. In Alberta’s winter they produce Literally SFA. Same applies to SOLAR.

Typical deluded ravings of someone who would vote for Naheed NENSHI

  2. Sea ice is not declining, but that’s only a single environmental indicator about which media are lying in the attempt to gin up the false “climate crisis.” That people are incapable of understanding that climate and weather are cyclical, and variable is simply a sign of how poorly educated we are. Every day the climate cannot be exactly like that miraculous June day you lost your virginity.

A modern economy cannot operate without fossil fuels, but we seem determined to test that hypothesis, in order to see how many Western citizens we can kill. Meanwhile, China and India’s populations and economies will continue to thrive and grow, because they’ve not caught up in believing the nonsensical “climate crisis” propaganda.

  3. There is a lot more to hydrocarbons than gas and diesel. And since that “other stuff” is vital to make the world go around and is a percentage of crude distillation… then you will still need to extract and refine oil.

    1. Yep. 65-70% or more, of the products routinely purchased by consumers are grounded in natural gas.
      No more iPhones.
      No more televisions.
      No more clothing.
      No more packaging.
      No more upholstery.
      No more carpeting.
      No more home heating.
And on, and on, and on.
Clothe your self in the hides of that large mammal you killed last fall.
Insulate the electric wiring coming into your house with the same hides.
If you need tires for your EV every 7500 miles…you are fckd.
And I laughed and I laughed and I laughed.

  4. “So you can live in denial if you want. But as the power and automobile fleet turns over, you will see a gradual reduction in oil volume.”

Yes…the key word there being “gradual”. As in 30 to 50 years from now.

Oh, and China generated only 3.5% of its total electricity by solar in 2020, and are *hoping* for 16% by the end of 2025. Guess where the most of the rest comes from? That’s right: 62% of it comes from COAL.

  5. I have a 5 Km daily commute to work.. I drive a small fuel efficient sporty thing.. I would rather gas up once a month than deal with plugging in a EV.. A couple of minutes a month and I’m done..

This past winter I gassed up 5 times.. November through March.. I could pay musical chairs with a charging station at home with the other two cars that live at my house… But why would I?.. Its cold and dark outside..

So don’t think that all short daily commuters are falling off their chairs to plug in.. Its why they want to ban ice cars.. They cant compete in a lot of cases..
