  1. Twenty five years ago, California was leading the nation into Deregulation of the Electric Power Market, and was going to save their customers tens of dollars a month.

Now they have blackouts if the wind blows too fast

  2. Last week, some Democrats who voted for the bill announced legislation to repeal the controversial bill.

Hilarious. Likely received major blowback from their well to do constituents or there’s an election coming up. Likely both.

    1. The people of CA would cheer the die-off with the same vigor Canada cheers MAID. They would say it was a good thing.

  3. another opportunity to remind one and all (except pollllitiSHUNS who most need to know) that they are famous for ‘solving’ one ‘problem’ by CREATING, in this case, *many* thousands more.
they wont do it. they just wont dare play ‘devils advocate’ step back, look for loopholes and shortcomings in the laws laws laws laws laws and contradictory laws.
and subsequent admins waste enormous time and resources UNDOING the previous fcukups.
here it is again. and as noted this time its the ones who PUT the regs in place want them rescinded.

  4. As a PG&E ratepayer … let me add that LAST YEAR … before their electric rates spiked for third time in two years … PG&E gouged us by charging 3x the market price for Nat. Gas. I had to set my thermostat at 61 deg.F or get eaten out of house and home. Sorry my cold Canadian friends, but sitting in a 61deg. house is COLD.

This year … once their PUNISHING electric rates kicked in … PG&E has magically returned Nat. Gas to market pricing … which they are terming “discounted”.

Yes, the prices and the TIERS are brutally PUNISHING everyone. But !! … if they hadn’t cut the price of Nat. Gas from the usurious rates of last year … People would literally be losing their homes. So … the entire PG&E energy pricing structure is artificial and capricious. The CA PUC is supposed to be REGULATING the energy monopoly on behalf of the CONSUMER … but they’re not. No, the PUC is just another arm of Global Warmist tentacles that envelop CA. The PUC will allow the utility to keep jacking-up prices as a means to economically PUNISH anyone who dares run an incandescent bulb.

And two other things … 1) PG&E is a massively bloated bureaucracy with far too many non-essential nonsensical employees sucking a living off the ratepayers teat. Incessant ADVERTISING by PG&E is disgusting … and ALL OF IT … a cheap PR stunt to brainwash the public that PG&E … cares. Bullshit. And don’t get me started on their Global Warming staff. 2) Every leftist (virtually every Californian) believes that PG&E are raising rates to recover their wildfire lawsuit losses, and/or to bolster Corporate PROFITS. Not a single Californian acknowledges that PG&E is being USED by the Global Warmist government to PUNISH energy use and push “renewable, zero-carbon, energy”. The people of PG&E’s reach are dumber than a box of rocks. Cold rocks.

    1. My (Solano County) PGE bill was $750 last month (combined nat gas and electric). I can endure it as long as the pain is shared with the idiots who voted for this. Just wait until people run their AC this summer. Fortunately we get Vallejo weather so it stays cool most summer days but there is going to be a lot more whining soon.

  5. I watch the news and on every subject lately there are many Democrats very unhappy with Biden and the Democratic Party but, apparently, never unhappy enough to say, “Screw this side, I’m crossing the road.”
