Great Reset, Interrupted

WSJ Editor-in-Chief brings bad news;

Emma Tucker told a crowd at the World Economic Forum, “I think there’s a very specific challenge for the legacy brands, like the New York Times and like the Wall Street Journal.”

She continued, “If you go back really not that long ago, as I say, we owned the news. We were the gatekeepers, and we very much owned the facts as well.”

“If it said it in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, then that was a fact,” Tucker further stated, adding “Nowadays, people can go to all sorts of different sources for the news and they’re much more questioning about what we’re saying.”

Update: @PierrePoilievre I will ban all my ministers from any involvement in the World Economic Forum.

  1. So what is her solution to “regain our trust?”
    Lie some more?
Call everyone who spots those lies,as agents of “Misinformation”?
    Or “Far Right”?
    We know they lie.
They know we know they lie.
    Yet they keep on lying.
When a creatures words mean nothing, only their actions can be measured and then communication with them will depend on physical means.

    1. So what is her solution to “regain our trust?”

Well, if she said she would commit ritual suicide, then went ahead & did it, that’d go a long way…

      1. And only the skimpiest of beginnings.

The stench from their lies will not equal the stench of their bowels burst asunder from their lemming leaps.

Please do it in San Fran.

    2. Our gate keepers are frozen, windy mills don’t produce any warmth, solar farms are a joke, our leaders are old white racist Elites, and no one really gives a crap about what we say. next year instead of coming here,
      I’m going to the Bahamas.

    3. Well, if they can’t suppress/control ideas and news, Marxists usually resort to the ultimate form of control – by killing all those they deem responsible.

  2. Based on that statement, she is capable of recognizing the truth. Capable, if not practiced in doing so.

  3. “During the same discussion, Věra Jourová, Vice-President of the European Commission, complained about the rise of ‘disinformation’ being a ‘security threat,’ noting ‘It was part of the Russian military doctrine that they will start information war, and we are in it now.'”

In other words, this is all about the fear of European elites that in the very near future they might find themselves on a Russian train to Siberia, bound for whatever fate the Russians deem proper for those who conspire to destroy Russia.

Here’s the truth. The elites ordered the murder of the Six Million. They forced a generation of young Russian men to die subduing the Nazi monster they created.

Did they really think they’d get away with it forever?

It wasn’t the death warrant of the Jews that the Nazis signed at Wannsee. It was the death warrant of the idolaters who put them up to the job of blotting out the Name of the God of Israel.

And if you’re reading this, you might JUST live to see the warrant carried out.

As they made Russian and Jewish mothers bereaved among women, now the bitches and sows who whelped these liars, frauds, perverts and warmongers shall be bereaved among women.

The wailing of the dams of the tormentors of the righteous, like a naughty child who has a dog draw blood from his hand because the brat kept pulling its tail no matter how often his father corrected him, will be music in the ears of the Lord, and in the ears of all who fear Him.

They, not the “Elders of Zion,” not “capitalism,” not “society,” ruined the souls of their pups and piglets, because they taught their children to indulge their own pride and sense of entitlement rather than to fear the Lord and keep His Commandments. Their souls will answer for the souls of their pups and piglets in Gehinnom—and may the memory of both bitch and pup be blotted out!

      1. KT is the latest handle for a regular poster whose schtick is intentionally inflammatory, ethnically chauvinist boilerplate. The ethnicity varies with each handle, but the writing style is distinctive. I supect it’s a moby trying to get Kate in legal trouble.

  4. She continued, “If you go back really not that long ago, as I say, we owned the news. We were the gatekeepers, and we very much owned the facts as well.”

News and facts they OWNED??? Manufactured news and facts as THEY saw it. Now people are slowly (hopefully) catching on.

    1. She continued, “If you go back really not that long ago, as I say, we owned the news. We were the gatekeepers, and we very much owned the facts as well.”

And they really, really miss those days. This is a public lament for (in their view) a lost golden age.

  5. Excellent pairing of the comments of Emma Tucker and the link to Tumble. The former is just now reacting to the fact that the public has lost trust in the news media. And, the Rumble video explains the lack of reactionary leeway of the Rationalists as well as how it is a slow lumbering effort with no consideration of hardships and obstacles.

Faith in the news media (such as the NYT’s and the WSJ) has been on a steady decline since the late 1990’s. Most of it was self inflicted to prop up the lack of flexibility in the Elitist Rationalist dogma. In the present over 66% of the US describe themselves as having little to absolutely no confidence in today’s media. This didn’t happen overnight, but the outright lack of flexibility within the WEF “reset” allowed them to ignore the signs. And, the fact that they are just now noticing this tells you all you need to know about how the echo chamber works at that level. So, one would think their basis for correcting this lack of trust would be to become more transparent and ….well….truthful. But, no, that’s not part of the plan (quite literally). Instead, they are lamenting on how to regain control of the narrative by silencing those who would challenge it. Microcosms of this approach are occurring all over the world, and the elitists seem shocked at the growing bulwarks.

    1. I think they’ve been aware of the decline for about two decades. The decimation of their advertising revenues has resulted in shrinking of their newsrooms. Every newspaper is now a money-losing enterprise and has been so for some time. This from you is interesting.

“Instead, they are lamenting on how to regain control of the narrative by silencing those who would challenge it.”

I agree. Except there is no going back. They are all the walking dead in terms of “managing” public opinion. And so, like the late 18th century French aristocrats they do nothing except gather in their assorted social parties and lament the deluge which is in the process of drowning them. I suspect what Tucker is really doing is giving a funeral speech.

There is one clear sign of their new impotence. Regardless of how they shriek that the sky is falling, Trump is the odds-on favourite to win the Republican nomination and this year’s Presidential election. This is happening despite the hatred of the mainstream media, and it is a sign of just how little the public heeds them any more.

      1. I suppose it’s because they owned the medium that newspapers always felt the need to declare who they felt we should all vote for. I could never get over the hubris of editors thinking their opinion should be factored into the voting decisions of the public.

      2. I would say their ( decline) started when NYT supported Stalin and his murdering of his own people.

    2. Like a person on the edge of bankruptcy who won’t stop spending, or a drug addict after a near-fatal OD who keeps stuffing their drug of choice into their body. The media can not even imagine a future where they stop lying about everything.

  6. Can’t they just blame AMAZON or something? Perhaps she could say … “in today’s high tech world, everyone is reading their financial news on Kindle”

That’s what San Francisco “leaders” have said about all the Retailers closing up shop in SF. Rampant shoplifting? Rampant homeless and their feces? Rampant violent crime? Rampant auto burglary smashed windows? Rampant drug use and discarded needles? Police won’t respond? Prosecutors won’t prosecute? … nahhhhhhh … it’s because everyone shops on Amazon.

  7. Ref PeePee banning ministers from WEF. The ban should only relate to attending WEF events “on the taxpayer’s dime”. To enact a complete ban is a sad statement about the trust you have in in the ability of your ministers to recognize and resist bullshit. Adults should be able to walk away from a snake-oil extravaganza, shaking their heads and without a bottle of snot in their pockets.
