Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
I used to try to at least send emails to some politicians in the hopes that they actually read it…long lost them trying to understand common sense as their agendas, which have been highly destructive in our current society situation…and still getting progressively worse with even more restrictions and regulations.
Toronto should raise lots more Canada geese in the city.
Could be used to feed the needy.
If white people were to kill a Canada goose (hardly an endangered species – there are 15,000 in the Waterloo region alone), they would, at a minimum, be fined, or arrested. If First Nations or immigrants did the same thing, there would be no penalty whatsoever. The law must be blind, or it becomes a respecter of persons and immoral.
Did anyone ask the innuit if they want to eat canada geese?
The article said the gub’mint was spending “hundreds of thousands” on the geese-raising programs, JD.
Hmmmm… for all that money and given the population of Hudson Bay, the town (pop. about 1,500), and the whole upper Hudson Bay area (not a heck of a lot more), just how many Door Dash meals could be delivered to the area for the money that’s being spent?
Which would be cheaper for taxpayers; Domino’s Delivery or this “Just Eat Geese” program?
And so long as I am doing some idly wondering, are the Arctic foxes in the area looking noticeably better fed? Is their population increasing?
Snow geese nest in the arctic by the hundreds of thousands. The season on them in Sask is 20 per day and no limit on how many you can keep in a season
“Wilkinson threatens to pull billions in funding for provinces that refuse to comply with clean electricity laws”
What would happen if the provinces stopped submitting tax revenues to the feds?
Subsidize Arctic Goose Farm …. $100,000 can buy roughly 5000 boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells (25 shells per box) … 125,000 shells , which should account for quite a few snow geese .

The irony of the snow geese explosion is not climate change but the fact that the southern US rice farmers realized if they didn’t till the rice stubble the snow geese did it for them and happily fertilized the ground along with expanding the goose numbers.
I’ve no idea the basis for media claims of a summer of 2023 Climate Crisis, but it’s NOT based on observed temperatures.

Proterra (Biden’s Solyndra) further substantiates the insanity of decision making by a centralized government. If there is a worst-case scenario, a choice certain to run up huge financial losses and lead to the worst sort of failure, that is always the option government will select.
