At supper on Friday, Alberta’s wind power fell to 7 out of 3,618 megawatts, or 0.19 per cent capacity. Again.
The Devil may have gone down to Georgia, looking for a soul to steal, but he went to Alberta, instead, to steal their wind. At supper. Again.
But hey, SaskPower intends on adding 3,000 megawatts of additional wind and solar to our grid over the next 12 years. And Steven Guilbeault figures the “social cost of carbon” should be $247 a tonne (previously posted)
Well Brian, when the US places restrictive tariffs on VW’s battery plant exports because of outrageous Canadian subsidies, ones that make lumber subsidies look non-existant in comparison, they can sell the batteries to Saskatchewan. You clearly don’t have a degree in Trudeaunomics. The math is so complicated only a snowboard instructor or substitute drama teacher can understand them.
minor detail, the more turbines you
have
increases your possible output,
but decreases your efficiency..
phony stats strikes again
the greenies have their own stats..
installed kwhrs(large) ,which they never produce.
Wind is not the only thing the devil is stealing from Alberta.
There will never be enough bird-mutilating windmills to power the modern industrial society. That also goes for the bird-roasting, habitat-destroying solar farms.
Most of us will never own an electric car because they are too much trouble, too expensive, not suitable for many cooler climate countries … and did I mention not enough electricity to keep them running.
Q: Who would buy a used electric vehicle?
A: A fool.
J West – 95% of EVs are still on the road. The other 5% made it all the way home.
LOL
Happy Earth Day! About that…
Gonna ‘Light ‘er up tonite’ to celebrate “Earth hour”
Been renamed Industrial Accomplishments hour at my house and I rejoice!
Here, I’ll fix that little paragraph for you:
And the main reason Steven Guilbeault figures the “social cost of carbon” should be $247 a tonne….
Is because….
even SaskPower out in supposed red neck country intends on adding 3,000 megawatts of additional wind and solar to our grid over the next 12 years
There is no need to discuss the stupidity. Wind power will never power industry for a planet with 8 billion plus people.
The only things wind and solar generate reliably are subsidies.
And the power companies are all too willing to keep erecting these eye sores. When you’re the only game in town, it matters not to them if they burn coal, gas or have government mandated “sustainable” power generation, they have zero risk and will always “generate” a profit when there is no competition.
Anthony does us all a great favor, and catalogs the all-time greatest environmentalist failures of predicting global catastrophe.
Please share it with all your friends, as everyone deserves to know how genuinely ignorant the “experts” are.
