    Hmmmm…I’ve raised a few kids through the 10-12 year age range. I can guarantee that if told them I was serving insects for a meal that there would be mock vomiting and other signs of disgust. Have these people never been around preteen children? Or are European kids different than prairie kids?

    Around here kids get firearm training starting at 12 years old. All of ours completed hunter safety courses at that age. All of them except one started hunting the following hunting season. Pretty sure none of them prefer to hunt for crickets instead of moose or deer. We already have two bull moose in the freezers this season.

  9. Well I actually heard something that made sense about cricket farming today. Raising them and making them into fish meal for fish farms, instead of harvesting krill. And for pig feed. Made sense.
    Looks like they aren’t headed that direction, and what else would they like to teach empty slates ?
    Parent don’t see empty slates they see little human beings that might actually be good for something someday.
    I don’t think much of progs.

    Behavioral changes defined and approved by whom?
    If the parents want their kids to eat bugs that is their call, not some insane school board filled with Marxist whackos.

Two concerns about eating insects, is that those who are allergic to shellfish will be allergic to insects because they don’t cut out the insides, they just crush them up and the exoskeletons will evidentially produce the same, often deadly allergic reaction as those who cannot eat shellfish.

    Secondly there are the problems with insects being carriers of parasites.
