Remember when these sorts of panel discussions were normal? Well thought out, good arguments, respectful disagreement, etc.

If only such panels existed in 1930s Germany, or 50s China, or whatever, we could all have had a nice little chat with the people who want us dead.
Sadly, the Maoists and Fascists and Bolsheviks (and Colonialistas, of course) always seem to just eff every damn thing up that they ever touch, don’t they?

Yes they did touch on a lot of issues, both sides. But all that did was confuse the debate. If a debate is to be honest it must be truthful. I don’t think we will ever have a truthful debate on abortion or vaccines. Both sides feel strongly that their side is right no matter the facts. So where does that leave us?
I wish I had the answer. I know I have strong beliefs on one side, and I am willing to listen to the other side argue their point. Logic dictates my decision. Right or wrong I stand firm.
When I see/hear the media support 1 side only and consistently I know that I am being lied to. And no matter if there is logic on their side, it is being twisted to suit their argument. I will not comply! I was born at night but it wasn’t last night.
The liberal minister of health is now saying no one is fully vaxxed and we should be taking shots every nine months. If that doesn’t open some eyes I guess the populace is willing to die for a lie.
Yes, it did seem to be a fairly rational discussion, with reasoned arguments instead of screaming, until the two statements from the one pundit had me *screaming!* at my little screen!
One: the assertion that it didn’t matter when a foetus was a human or not, since it has no legal standing and is not counted as part of the population. I think she even said it had no standing culturally. HER culture, but of course!
Two: Pro-lifers don’t care about, or care for, babies once they’re born. Cow-patties!
You’re right, Wood spider, they twisted pretty damn hard to let those fat fallacies slide by them. Contortions, actually.
I still believe that this is a large part of the agenda.
