  1. So glad he is recovering.
I honestly only became a fan of his after he bravely went public about his bad experience.

  2. That’s when she said she was pretending (that the vaccine was safe and effectivek

    1. Here’s an earlier, less subdued, version of this GREAT song ‘Badge’ from the Cream Farewell lp.

The song was written by Clapton AND George Harrison. You can definitely hear Harrison’s work in the opening hook, and in the ‘What is Life’ bridge. Harrison was the maestro of guitar hooks … Clapton the King of lead riffs. What a beautiful marriage of the two geniuses. Speaking of bridge … Clapton misread Harrison’s handwriting and thought the “bridge” was actually “badge” … and the name of the song. So they laughed and named the song “badge”.

  3. That article in the LA times was disgusting.
He claimed he had an injury to the vaccine, so let’s bring up an incident from 50 years ago to try and discredit him.

I think he was the first famous person to have admit to having an injury, glad to see he is doing better.

    1. Absolutely.

“The attention surrounding Clapton’s lockdown remarks has led to the resurfacing of racist and xenophobic statements the guitarist has made in the past.”

No, try this, you disgusting excuse for a journalist: you and your ilk went digging that incident up from the distant past so you could tar his present remarks with the same brush. Same tiresome old leftist play: when you can’t argue with someone’s point of view, just call them a racist!

      1. Angie Orellana Hernandez … can go sit on it. She’s clearly a racist and an ageist. And probably likes banal hip hop music and considers Classic Rock to be dead old white man music. She uses her own race as a weapon. It’s likely the only reason she was accepted to USC. Well, that … and the location of USC in the ghetto made her feel right at home. She can take her white-hate and sit on it.

        1. Not too bad for a 77 year old guitar god.

As for the racism BS, he addressed it plenty already. One can watch his autobiographical film, he let’s it all hangs out and doesn’t hide from it. Not an excuse, but he was a raging alcoholic for years, during that period where he said those things.
If he was still that much of a racist, his band members for the last 30 years would have walked away long ago, and he would never have played with his own heroes, Buddy Guy, BBKing, etc.
          The media are imbeciles.

  4. Angie who…?

Some supposed journalistic skank…pulls the race card from what 20/30/40 yrs ago..??

And what was slow hands mental state in those days…?? Seem to recall he lost his son..??

These disgusting sleazy leftist hits from behind simply piss me off….the issue is and continues to be a vaxx that maims n kills.

I wonder how many jabs she’s taken..??

    1. … how about I add a very young Mark Knopfler?

Sorry … but Francisco has got me obsessing over Badge. Found this footage with Mark Knopfler doing lead riffs over the melody … and then a spectacular lead of his own (video cued to his lead bit). Two guitar greats sharing the stage and a great guitar song. Thanks G. Harrison!
