  1. Subscribe? Would love to but my fixed income is taking a terrible beating at present so no extra $$$.

    1. with you on that ac. If I paid for every site read I would be bankrupt. And I used to have what was considered a good income. Amazing what liberal socialist governments can do to a persons ability to feed themselves.

    2. Money is tight use the rules against them if you can, it’s all going tits up anyway for .gov’s never pay off their debts now in The trillions and quadrillions in derivatives.

Claiming Expenses on Business Loss on Canadian Taxes

Using Business Loss Against Other Income
Whether you get to “use” this business loss and claim the business expenses depends on whether or not you have other income. If you do, you may wish to take the income from your business (the non-capital business loss) and use it to offset your other income, in effect, claiming the business expenses. This strategy is very advantageous for people that have regular full or part-time employment—by having a side business you can write off business losses against your regular employment income.

  2. I’m very seriously considering a subscription.
I can always unsubscribe later if I decide that it’s not a good value proposition.

  3. Not at $314 per year.

I still think the $99 I pay for the Western Standard is a tad pricey.

    1. Yes; maybe if they had a 30 day startup phase, whereby you could cancel up to one month and get back 11/12 of your $314 , or some such. Sight unseen $314 is pretty deep water.

  4. I have a fair number of subscriptions. I try them for a year and if they don’t measure up I won’t renew. I haven’t tried Blacklocks but I like Korski and Holly Doan.

I don’t have time for the Western Standard.

  5. Too many of the subscriptions I purchased went tits up before the term ended. So I just don’t do that shzt anymore. I feel badly about it, but I save money.
