I agree that nothing is working, and nothing that doesn’t put the Empire of Lies at clear risk of nuclear annihilation is likely to stop the liberation of eastern Europe.
Financial sanctions? What are those? The stock market? What’s that? The latest model of iTrash? Who cares about that? Normal people don’t think about these things.
This is not about whether Mother Russia’s latest pimp thinks he’s not getting paid enough to let foreign bankers rape the old whore. This is about guaranteeing the survival and sovereignty of the Russian people. Nothing can guarantee that short of destroying the Empire of Lies.
The “Russia-China Axis” narrative is disinformation. China has no allies, only vassals.
Putin cannot be bought or intimidated by the CCP, and he is just as willing to destroy China if he must to save Russia, as he is to destroy the Empire. This is why Xi Jinping has made no attempts to control Putin, much less oppose him on “Ukraine,” whose fate is of little importance to China in any case. That is a relationship of mutual respect, but it’s not a real alliance.
It cannot be. Their goals are too different.
China wants to replace the Empire, and rule the world in its stead.
Russia wants to destroy the Empire so her children might live in freedom and prosperity.

A Ukrainian Virtual, a BBC hack, had an opportunity to report on the consequences of letting her country fall into the hands of neo-Nazis—to be specific, on how her own mother narrowly escaped death when Zelensky’s goons let their crumbling Khrushchev-era apartment block have it so they could blame it on Putin.

Oh, they know what they’re doing. All Trudeau administrations have waged war against Alberta. Prinz Dummkopf would sooner destroy the rest of the country than to give up his (alleged) daddy’s dream–to devasate and subjugate western Canada, making it a perpetual vassal and slave to Quebec.
I was not impressed with that article. The author clearly has an interest in convincing his readers that the world financial system is collapsing, so they should buy gold from his firm. It wasn’t super coherently argued, either, or prescient.
This Goldmoney guy thought Putin wouldn’t fully invade Ukraine, but he already has. Goldmoney seems to think that the USA actually wanted Russia to invade Ukraine, so as to be trapped in a quagmire there? That seems wacky. It’s also ridiculous that Putin believes Russia would be truly threatened by Ukraine joining NATO, because NATO is a defensive alliance of democracies.
For all the cloak and dagger he tries to cook up here, I think the simple explanation is simpler than Goldmoney suggests:
Putin wants to screw with as many democratic countries as possible and re-establish the barrier ring of puppet states around Russia, as in the glory days of the USSR. Like Hitler, he knows the democracies won’t stop him, so he keeps grabbing more territory until someone does. This has the double benefit of pissing off the USA and Western European democracies while also making Russians feel their demographically dying, poor, alcoholic country is getting its old, scary Soviet mojo back. It distracts Russians from their misery and rekindles nationalism, which also benefits Putin.
The Baltics, (Latvia , Estonia and Lithuania) will be next for annexation, if he thinks he can attack NATO countries with impunity. More likely he’ll carve chunks off some non NATO neighbour every few years, as he’s done with Ukraine.
Germany played into Putin’s hands by voluntarily shuttering their own coal and nuclear power plans as a sacrifice to Saint Greta’s anti Carbon hysteria. Now Germany’s industries are slaves to Russian gas. It’s ridiculously stupid of Germany, but they don’t want their gas turned off in winter and Vlad holds all the cards, so sanctions against Russia will achieve nothing. Germany can’t afford to alienate him.
If the world had reacted to Hitler in 1939 the way we’re reacting to Putin, just letting him get away with this, we’d all be speaking German today. It’s a travesty.
