    2. The reason CBC still exists is because of Stephen Harper and the CPC. He had a water tight majority and instead of shutting them down and selling them off, he cut their funding with tax dollars by 200M.
      He wet himself and stood there all warm and fuzzy.
      Instead of acting like a real conservative, and chopping root and branch.
      When was the last real conservative elected in Canada?
      Certainly was not Dief the Chief, he gave us socialized medicine.

      Ontario Tech was founded as a Long March Through the Tech Institutions school, its mission to train and deploy social justice warriors into STEM fields via diversity and equity initiatives and something, something about the planet.

    4. That sounds like some of the horse puckey I had to put up with at Armpit College.

      One year, one administrator, a hard-core feminist, convinced the institution that all the male employees had to attend a sexual harassment lecture, where we were told how bad we truly were as only men did that sort of thing.

      It didn’t go as planned.

      One of my colleagues, from another department, openly called it what it was: communism. There were also comments about how the harassment could go the other way. The administrator didn’t like our reaction and simply stood on stage, probably foaming at the mouth.

      As far as I know, that was the last time a session like that was held, at least during the time I remained at AC.

      1. I just cracked misogynist jokes during our companies sexual harassment training taught by our HOT (female) attorney who tried not to laugh. Yes … I was called into our HR’s office and scolded by our (female) HR Director who has clearly NEVER been sexually harassed … and never will be. Ever.

        1. I had a similar experience at Armpit College.

          My department head, who set up the “customer service” malarkey at the institution, ordered me to volunteer to have the “training”. That “training” consisted of idiotic team-building exercises and ridiculous “trust-building” activities.

          There were two sessions. I misbehaved during the first one by questioning the entire premise, to which the response was that I had to “deliver learning” which “met or exceeded the customer’s expectations”, whatever the dickens that meant.

          One day, I received a reminder telephone call from some munchkin in the personnel department that I should attend the other session. I made some cheap wisecrack that I would, lest my department head kneecap me or something like that. Ooooooh boy, was I in trouble!

          The head personnel commissar called me later and gave me an insulting dressing-down for not behaving earlier and for what I said in the previous call. He was also quite disappointed when I didn’t beg and plead to be allowed to finish the “training”. (He went on to advise the associate dean of my misdeeds and my department head got his digs in later, but that’s another story.)

          I walked out of the second session. (Shock! Horror!) My boss wasn’t pleased because that embarrassed him (not that he didn’t deserve it).

          Worse was that I didn’t finish the “training”! I didn’t graduate from “Be Nice” school and I didn’t get the certificate. Women shunned me. Dogs and birds relieved themselves on me. Small children pointed and laughed at me. (Not really, because nobody cared, but there were people at the institution who were disappointed that I didn’t rend my garments and adorn myself in sackcloth and ashes for what I did.)

          One thing that made Armpit College a theatre of the absurd was that silly stuff like I described was considered sacred. Not revering it to the same degree that the rabid adherents did was considered heresy and was dealt with accordingly.

Those that favor freedom resent a government propaganda arm paid for by tax payers held at gun point that condescend to the serfs by corrupting the language to defame those heroes fighting for everyone’s freedom to be left alone to live their lives in peace. In the sphere of civil and economic affairs, the bought and paid for media is now an essential and activist component of tyranny. In the Canadian Gulag, the CBC runs the torture chambers, not for extracting information but for the thrill of the torture.

      1. Yes, and those two thirds of the population are not going to change their minds either. Somehow the turd has been elected three times. He has fooled the electorate three times. The SNC fiasco should have been enough to destroy any government but not in Canada.
        Again, separation is really the only option but it is not really on anybody’s radar.
        Time to find real estate in Florida or Texas.
