Vote Liberal Because We Need A Housing Tax

A Liberal candidate claims that a housing tax will come under a new Liberal government. Blackie has denied this in the past, so it must not be true. You can trust the Liberals. They wouldn’t lie.

Update on the book burning school board. It seems the consultant who worked with the Ontario school board to burn books, is a fake Indian. Not only that, but she recently had to resign from the Liberal Party’s Indian advisory group because of questions on whether she is an Indian. She states she resigned so as not to embarrass her buddy Trudeau or the Liberals. I think that ship has sailed.

  1. Since everything the libs tell you is a lie but then turns out to be true expect the house tax and since the rumour is out there and if voted back in they’ll assume that the electorate is ok with the tax so that will guarantee that we get it. After all the libs are good socialists and they will never let the opportunity to invent or raise taxes.

well, the promised abolition of first past the post voting disappeared into the ether without consequence… i imagine the sheeple will accept just about any liberal lies at this point.

  2. I’m sure they will bullshit their way through this like everything else and the whore media will be only too happy to play along . This has been in the works for some time . Trudope figures if gets his majority there will be nothing to stop him . What an asshole …..

  3. Thinking of selling my house at the moment, taking the profit and buying in rural BC. If the government takes half, that’s my retirement going to pay for the Liberals fave friends with benefits plan. If they want to crash the housing market and destroy millions of Canadians’ hopes for retirement the least they could do is run on that promise. I mean, if they did I’m pretty sure they would break it anway, it is Justin Trudeau we’re talking about.

  4. Keep telling yourself that there is no difference between Libranos and O’Cueball and vote Maxipad with your harts and convictions (see the Maxipad circlejerk below). What’s the worst that can happen?

    1. Colon R~4 you been blowing up you husband doll a little too much. The tax bill will be the same no matter who governs leven if yer hero Oh’Stool gets in, the debt load will be the same no matter who gets in. Butt then you are not blessed with reasoning skills, or a great deal of smarts for that matter.

  5. Two years ago I had to attach a special form outlining how much I sold my house for and how much I paid for it on our income tax-we knew it was only a matter of time before the liberals would rapppe us financially of any profits.

    1. Keep in mind that the proposed tax applies to homeowners whose house is their primary residence.

As I mentioned on other threads, I inherited mine from my father. Since it’s not my primary residence, I would have to pay capital gain tax on it anyway.

People wonder why I only want the appraised value. Less profit, less tax. Besides, it’ll make it easier to sell when the time comes, assuming that Premier Bonnie lets me into B. C.

      1. Are you sure about the tax issue? If it was your father’s primary residence, I think it would not be subject to the capital gains tax. That was the case when my father-in-law’s house was sold after his passing.

        1. I transferred the title over to my name a few months after he died. I checked with the CRA on how to handle the sale, whenever that would occur.

I needed to establish the fair market value, so I hired an appraiser to look the place over. She determined an estimated value as of the day my father died and that’s the figure I’ll have to report. The other number, of course, is the final sale price.

After that, it’s reported like the disposition of any other capital investment.

There was a small wrinkle in the title transfer. The house was originally in the joint name of my parents. The title wasn’t changed over to his name after my mother died, so I had to attend to that when I sat down with the real estate lawyer. (The provincial government didn’t allow an individual to make that change.)

  6. IMHO the French debate was a setup by the French host Get Otoole, the female host interupted otoole to tell him he was not answering the question, Did they do the same to trudeau ? NO They let him go off topic and rant about abortions, harper, guns, climate.
Now we all know the majority of media is in bed with Trudeau, but what I saw was nothing more then BS. And although iam not in favor of ppc party or their leader Bernier he should have been there.
The media be best to remember that Marxist eventually go after the media to silence them.
    Defeat Trudeau, Vote Conservative

    1. Vote Conservative, get Trudeau anyway, even if he looks like Charlie Brown now.

  7. When Trudeau goes into one of his off topic bs rants that’s when otoole needs to strike loud and clear, For once can you stick to the topic and answer a question posed to you.
Bad enough we here have to listen to that no mind crap in the HoC but the Canadians watching don’t have to tolerate that.
(Sorry I was off topic, bryanr)

Liberals need monies to spend so you can bet your bimmy that they will tax your house.
Watch your gas prices escalating 139.9lt for regular. today where iam in Grey Bruce,
Remember gas prices was a major election topic back in the Clark & Trudeau Sr. days
Where as Sr. Lied about taxation on that subject.
Defeat Trudeau, Vote conservative the only option to get rid of the Liberals

    1. Bryanr

We voted ford to get rid of wynnebag, and ford threatened curfues, so what did we gain, absolutely nothing. Ford has not reversed any liberal policies , not one, and the Oh’Stool will be the same as ford, tory, brown, palister, kenny, see the pattern?

  8. Wait wait. Surely this is misinformation. Just some dumb fuck candidate having a brain fart. The liberals are not thinking of taxing any profit made from selling one’s primary residence. That would cost them the election big time. Even they are not that stupid. All I heard is the proposal that the capital gains on property other than a primary residence will go from 50% to 75% taxable. And that I think is a NDP idea.

    1. They know it will cost them the election, that’s why they don’t tell people before the election, bring it in immediately, then hope people have forgotten about it in five years.

      1. @Rusty:
I would think that is one thing they won’t forget. There are a lot of homeowners in Canada and they all want to make money from their house if they sell. If they do stupidly forget, the Cons will remind them.

  9. Death Duties anyone ? How many Covid-19 deaths would it take to finance the Liberal’s aspirations ? Can you believe anyone who promises to spend but not increase taxation ? How about balancing the budget in ten years ?

  10. Prepare the vomitorium. The english ‘debate’ is about to begin….

This is all about the networks. A vanity exercise. They insisted their ‘anchors’ all have to been onstage. Of course you need a moderator.

So you have upwards of 10 people on a stage to participate in a debate. It is highly scripted. There will be no surprise. The last ‘knockout’ occurred in ’84.

As a debate and speech judge I refuse to watch or listen to this crap.

  11. The house tax is a given. It will start with the non-primary residence. It will extend to all residences. You can’t run deficits like these and not increase taxes. A house is like a mine. You can’t move it and so you screw the mine owners until their pockets are empty. Then you move on to the forest industry.

Take the NDP millionaires tax of 1% over $10 million. It will come. And then it will change. 2% over $10 million. Then 2% over $5 million. Then over $2 million. Eventually they will tax any money in a Canadian bank account.

And we wonder why so many rich people hide their money offshore. Hmmmm….

    1. And we wonder why so many rich people hide their money offshore. Hmmmm….
Oh, like Junior’s bestie Stephen Bronfmann and the Cayman Islands tax haven…and of course don’t forget the charitable scams.

No, I’m not talking We “charity”, I’m talking Trudeau Foundation. Tax free.

Junior’s been raking it in with “pay to play” since he’s been the Librano leader. Nothing “small town cheap” about Junior. We’ve come a long way from Shawinigate….

For the rest of you proles, close your eyes and think of England, um, I mean Ottawa….

  12. As I understand it applies if you sell your primary residence within 12 months of buying it. On its face I don’t hate that, I get taxed on every penny I make. Why shouldn’t the guy flipping houses but living in them while doing so also pay taxes?

The problem of course is that once accepted the goalposts will move. 12 months will become 2 years and so on until there is no way out.

  13. So canaduh has it’s very own fauxcohontas, who believes in book-burning. Who could not have predicted that? Just like the fake unmarked graves nonsense, and spoken history. Everything about canaduhs aboriginals is fake except the highly preferential tax status, free schooling, healing lodge justice system etc that justin and the lieberals loves to fund.
I see people are getting exercised about paying tax on their residence sale, have a good time when your province (especially BC) hands over the land to the aboriginals and you get to pay another level of tax.

  14. Once again Erin O’Toole only leader on that stage wearing a Canadian Flag lapel pin.
Trudeau just said as one teacher( ya right) to another in replying to a question.
Trudeau doing typical lefty taftic, won’t shut up, ignores moderator when asked to stick to topic still rambles all over the place and everything is harpers fault.

    1. Trudeau doing typical lefty taftic, won’t shut up, ignores moderator when asked to stick to topic still rambles all over the place and everything is harpers fault.

In other words, he’s behaving as he usually does.

  15. Instead of a house tax.. Stupid tax for liberal voters only because if you were too stupid to clue into the scam then you probably won’t realize you are paying more tax. May be confused with the carbon tax which also depends on the stupidity of voters. Not enough? Tax the rich and who is the new nobility? – a public sector tax of say 50% of that portion over the poverty line including those gold plated pensions. Still not enough? next 100% of political pensions – they were hired to exercise good judgement and didn’t, we don’t pay pensions to incompetents or crime families. Hmm crime families, seize assets as proceeds of crime. Trusts? Chretien’s money laundering scheme, confiscate and prosecute the principals.
After that we can expect a more cautious approach from our ‘betters’.
