  1. Fair is fair. Time to pull down Tommy Douglas statues as he caused people to die on waiting lists. Also need to bulldoze the Trudeau mausoleum for his invoking of the War Measures Act.

    1. Time to pull down the statue of Joseph Brant in Brantford as he was a slave owner and murderer (his own son Isaac). It’s only right that he be erased from the history books.

  2. “Our elected leaders didn’t see that things needed to happen, but it’s nice to see that the community does.”

City council voted against the motion 12-3, for cripes’ sake. That’s how a democracy works. Bloody anarchists, nihilists, and whiney Indians. Go to an effin’ sweat lodge, bang a drum, and burn some sage if you want healing.

  3. And Hamilton Police were…where?
If we’re going to address the alleged wrongdoings of our forefathers and erase their place in history, perhaps we should also take back, amongst other things, the wheel and written language, neither of which were known to early indians. They were among the most primitive people on the planet at the time and residential schools were a failed attempt to address that. They don’t seem to have progressed all that much in the intervening centuries.

    1. They were busy arresting an elderly couple who weren’t wearing their mask at a Dairy Queen.

    2. I especially liked the Indian WAR whoop … which sounded very much like I heard in Hollywood Westerns. … and sounded eerily similar to middle eastern women whooping it up for their Islamic fighters

  4. If you don’t enforce laws they don’t really exist. If a Council votes to keep the statue but does not arrest those who topple it, the Council should be toppled. I like the idea of much more anarchy but let’s start at the federal level (I like sewer, water and garbage service). How about losing the RCMP for a start. That would herald the end to rail, pipeline, and logging blockades.

  5. Some of those wonderful, brave, noble, stoic, fantastic indigenous women are extremely well fed. Must be all that wholistic natural Native foods like pine needles and salmon. Must be putting a layer of blubber for the long winter months ahead … just like their sisters, the Bears.

  6. John A. McDonald is one of my heroes. I would have enjoyed drinking whiskey with the old Scottish dude among dudes.
You can’t erase my version of history, you stupid whiny losers. Heh!
In fact, I just may erect a statue in his honour, especially for enabling me to travel west, which, if you can recall, was a feat of unimaginable accomplishment.
Then I will stand vigil for the hapless goof who tries to topple it on my private property, which is NOT your land.

  7. In the long run anything that works to denigrate, demoralize and delegitimize Canadian history and institutions helps make the case for Alberta (Western) independence easier.

  8. I’ll bet there were very few Indians there. Mostly the regular shit disturbers and mentally ill flotsam.

  9. An MP was there eh? Mmmm…. I expect the mob will tire of merely toppling statues representing the old order and move on to more mobile targets.

    1. Not a real MP, just an NDPer
