I can disagree with Rex and you may or may not be attempting sarcasm but regardless, your comment grossly misstates his point.

Would it be the part about the civil service having a celebration while the emergency measures are still in place?
Or perhaps the bit about leaving those interpreters in Afghanistan?

Please don’t leave us guessing why or what you disagree with, it leaves the reader to make a presumption why you say you disagree with Rex.

Rex’s column was done with biting and I think appropriate sarcasm. The thread title follows that theme.
So I will be plain.
Because you didn’t state what it was you disagree with, then your criticism is clearly an expression of dislike of both Rex Murphy and this site.
But yet for all that dislike, you still read his column and for all the dislike of SDA, here you are.

I don’t disagree with Rex. That’s not my point all those rushing to dump. Just saying Rex’ point was more profound than partying in the pandemic. It’s partying among a slew of disasters. BTW as Scott Adams says, you have no idea what I think.

The country is screwed, who cares Rex, we are finished, as the people of this country really do not have any honor, morality or the ability to think critically or rationally. Party on folks, it is only printed money as we no longer produce anything that is taxable and we the taxpayer will never really pay it back, by the way we really only pay it to ourselves. My grandkids will be millionaires. We are finished.
Actually VOWG, a fair few of us do still have “honor, morality or the ability to think critically or rationally.”. But we are feeling rather like Horatio at the bridge; seriously besieged and with no relief in sight.

Speaking of Turtle Island … the civil service MUST go on with the party. It is what the First Nations would do. The noble, beautiful, flawless, First Nations are a celebratory people. They celebrate everything with a dance and a song. They have a POW-Wow for everything. It’s only right that the white (and Hindu) settlers acknowledge the First Nations by having a gay old time.
I think they should replace every statue of evil ol white men like John A. MacDonald and replace them with ones of iconic gay Indians like the guy from the Village People and Iron Eyes Cody (notorious totem pole smoker).
You forgot Chinese, African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern etc etc etc settlers. All racist scum who need to be reeducated about how they’re living on stolen land!
