She thought she was having a heart attack; it was a rare reaction to a COVID vaccine

It turned out that Graves did not have a heart attack. Tests done at Queensway Carleton Hospital quickly ruled that out. But it would take days before the active 68-year-old had a diagnosis: She was suffering from myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle, a rare adverse event linked to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination she had been given just days earlier.

The first three or four weeks after diagnosis was “pretty rough,” impacting her life and terrifying her family. Four months later, she still has occasional episodes that have sent her back to the hospital for further monitoring. Liu has suggested she begin taking anti-inflammatory medicine for any future episodes.

Graves and others say myocarditis must be on the radar of health officials, especially with vaccinations ramping up quickly among people in their teens and 20s. It most commonly affects younger men, and usually occurs after a second dose. Graves’ reaction was after her first dose.

It doesn’t sound serious at all.

Liu said things are beginning to change, especially as a growing number of people get their second doses. In the past few weeks, he and his colleagues have diagnosed around 15 cases at the Heart Institute, he said, the most recent on Monday. The cases follow a pattern, he said; usually between two and four days after getting a vaccination, patients go to the hospital with symptoms that include chest pain and shortness of breath. They usually require hospitalization and treatment with anti-inflammatories and their symptoms usually resolve quickly.

No mention of all the other “rare” side effects. What’s a little bit of face drooping and allergic reactions between friends anyways.

    I’ve found that not just “rare” is used but the exact words in the quote above, or a version virtually identical. I’m interpreting this as a regulatory requirement or as part of the Trusted News Initiative, TIM, guidelines. Reminds me of the mandatory investment disclaimers required by government regulators. It’s not only creepy but supports the hypothesis that journalists and the media are not independent, they’re government puppets. Sad to see them complete sell out in order to access a continuous stream of bailouts/subsidies.

Lots of speculation that it’s the driving force behind the mass censorship of alternative ideas and debates surrounding all aspects of covid from origins, to vaccines, to treatments.     Thankyou for providing this and other updates on possible vexxine side-effects. The New Zealand Ministry of Health is certainly not doing so in this detail as it commences its roll out of the Pfizer vexxine. It just lists the relatively minor ones.

    My editor in Sydney suffered and continues to suffer severe symptoms since getting his first shot. Has the “first do no harm” bit been dropped from the medico’s rule book?

    1. I’m not a doctor. A coworker was suffering from very adverse affects after his second shot. Within hours of taking ivermectin he was starting to feel better and was able to put in a full day of work the next day.

    3. You are ignoring the fact that the CDC does not test the vaccinated for COVID unless they end up in hospital and to prevent false positives they only recommend 24 cycles for the vaccinated. Meanwhile they test everyone who is not vaccinated even if they have a snuffle and the do 38-45 cycles. That makes it very easy to get “good” stats on who is dying.

      Meanwhile in Israel, where they don’t fiddle with the data, rates of death among vaccinated and unvaccinated are the same when it comes to the Delta variant and in England you are more likely to die after being vaccinated.

      1. Signs of ADE are appearing among deaths of vaccinated individuals in the UK and Israel. The real test will occur the fall and winter. It will take a year or two to see whether the vax contributes to sterility. It may take longer for cancer, leukemia and autoimmune disorders to appear.

        In the meantime, some analyses are clearly showing more harm from the vax than the disease for younger age groups.

In a study from England recently that covered February to mid Jun delta variant infections 8% of the infected had been fully vaccinated second shot plus two weeks but that group accounted for 30% of the death. 99% sounds like it came from Fauci or Neil Ferguson.

  6. They are running with the false standard that the adverse events are “rare” compared to the huge number of people helped by the vaccine, so they don’t matter.

    That has not been the rationale used by the FDA historically when evaluating the safety of drugs. They have previously yanked already approved drugs helping tens or hundreds of thousands of people off the market when faced with handfuls of deaths or a “rare” amount of other adverse events.

    The idea that they are downplaying adverse events of a drug in its “probationary period” compared to what they have done for other fully approved drugs shows what a scam it is.

The amount of advertising and in general, the amount of “excess” pressure to conform and get vaccinated is beyond…..way beyond, the norm. So why? Why the now mounting pressure to get the goo? Once they begin the door to door pressure, then what comes after? Presumably, legislation to force vaccinations. Of course respectably dressed up to provide the presumed moral right to protect the public safety from “this extreme pandemic killer” /s. At some point, they may actually start arrests and internment for us vaccine hesitants. We’ll become a sort of X men type mutant paranoia…Hesitants does have a morbid ring to it eh. I’m thinking at that point the civil war will unfold fairly quickly. Interesting times indeed.     I can’t find any ‘official’ explanation of how the vaccine is causing heart problems.

    2. Those who get the mRNA vaccine produce prodigious quantities of spike protein which roams about the body and then accumulates in various tissues. In some people this causes the hearts inflammation. As to why it happens to some people and not to others, who knows? I’ve been trying to search the literature and understand WTF is going on but so far it is only guesses. No one really knows. This is one gigantic experiment on our species. The spike protein is also known to accumulate in the ovaries and testes.Is that permanent? It is a problem? Again who knows.

  11. This happened to a friend of mine last month, a few days after her first shot. She ended up in the ER with chest pain and shortness of breath thinking she was having a heart attack. They asked her if she had COVID (no), and then if she had been vaccinated (yes, recently, first shot). The ER doctor advised her against getting the second vaccine; her family doctor told her she should complete the series. I don’t know what she decided to do, although she was leaning toward forgoing the second one and hoping that the first round would prove effective enough.

    1. ER doctors see a lot more people in acute distress than family doctors. I would go with the ER doc on this one. It’s ER docs who see and treat this heart stuff.

  13. “Rare” or not, 1.4 million Canadians are expected to ingest a medically unnecessary second vaccination that offers no benefit, in exchange for some personal risk and to provide comfort to others.

    My wife and I are both 70. She has been dealing with stage 4 lung cancer for more than two years, including immunotherapy which induced a very severe immune system response. We both contracted covid in early April but recovered quickly and easily – similar to a week long cold. Now, because of her terminal illness, we’re attempting get in a bit of travel. The gov’t states that only the “fully vaccinated” will be able to do so, ignoring that we 1.4 million (most of whom will have had one ‘booster’ shot) have equal or better immunity than those ‘healthy’ people who have had two doses.

    We’re fighting like hell to take a one week Alaska cruise out of Seattle in early August. The biggest hurdle? Getting aboard a one hour Vancouver/Seattle Air Canada flight. We have to travel from VI to Vancouver three days before flying, take a covid test ($400) and pay for two nights in a hotel. That adds $1,000 to our costs. Then on return, despite documentation of our prior infection and an initial dose, plus letters from our personal physicians, we may be ‘required’ to stay in a Trudeau Prison Hotel for three days and isolate yet again for 14 days.

    We had far less difficulty making a trip to Cambodia a couple of years ago.

  14. I’m now 62, in relatively good health. I was sick with COVID in March of ´20. I was tired and in bed with no appetite for about 8~9 days. I was feverish which caused epic dreams in a weird way, kinda fun. I was never short of breath or coughing. Freezing one minute and bed drenched in sweat the next, I went through it…I have found other people who had similar symptoms….interestingly like my neighbour too, my sense of smell came back which I had lost literally decades ago. This past winter, I had a similar episode but only 3 days and with less fever. I think I’m fully immune now.

    Where I’m getting at is, COVID is not a super dangerous virus that they are scaring people with. It does not justify at all the commotion. I highly recommend you not get the vaccine, something sinister is going on, take it from a true witness…what I went through was tough but not much more than a bad case of the flu so the increasing push for total vaccination is illogic and thus frightening

Easy search Linda but dig deep in the pages, many reports mention what I’m saying…COVID symptoms vary with some with no respiratory problems…I had the flu many times and always had the stuffiness and coughing…what I experienced was different, the fever and the vivid dreams during my many hours passed out in bed (some days for 20 hours or more!) was totally new experience…I know I had COVID, no doubt anymore.

I recall from a link here about 6 months ago (?) that one of the few places in the body that spike proteins are found is a triggering mechanism in the uterus. Since the RNA is self-reproducing, how many have just been sterilized for life because any otherwise viable fetus will spontaneously abort with the spike protein signal?

    Why should my wife whose immune system is compromised, be forced to take a ‘vaccine’ she neither wants nor requires? It’s not science. It’s punishment, and contrary to the Charter.

  21. “rare” is the guide-word of the moment in media. When the subject is “Climate Change” the guide-word is “catastrophic”. It’s important to assist the reader in reaching the correct opinions.

    It’s like when Trump said anything at all the media here would thrown in “without evidence” every time. he could have said the sky was blue. Journalists should not even be granted a speedy trial before being taken straight to execution and dumped in a pit full of lime and manure.
