    1. Oh, good grief!

      Somebody was being quite thin-skinned. I know, for example that there are words and expressions in German which, to an untrained ear, sound rude, if not obscene, in English. It’s even worse if one isn’t accustomed to speaking it and there’s a slight mispronunciation.

      Then again, if one is seeking to be offended, any perceived infraction will suffice.

    1. Larry, there was a story way back when, in the old Alberta Report, that when then-Premier Ralph Klein eliminated welfare for able-bodied single people, the crime rate dropped dramatically. This was not reported in the national media, of course.

  13. Oh,oh. CNN could be in trouble with its Chinese masters. Story on a growing boycott of Disney’s new movie Mulan. It was filmed in the province that has the concentration camps for muslims. Credits in the movie praise various departments in the government for their assistance. Hollywood which rants about Trump the dictator, is increasingly bowing to China in order to make money in that lucrative market. But don’t worry, China Joe and his son Hunter will smooth things over with the communist paradise. In other news, the last two journalists from Australia have left China after being ordered to report for interviews with the Chinese secret police.

      1. Media outlet publishes a story with little basis in reality. Make it up if necessary.
      2. Outrage ensues.
      3. People who know the actual story object, and present facts to explain how the story is wrong.
      4. Media outlet retracts the story and hopes their readers/viewers don’t pay attention.
      5. Fake story continues to be accepted as fact.

            That is why this story is so damaging to Trump. It is even more damaging to Trump because it can be easily believed that he would say such a thing (see McCain, John). Trump constantly shoots himself in the foot. With just a little bit of discretion and self-control he could be leading the poles handily. Live by the Tweet, die by the Tweet.

    1. Teachers’ Unions are the enemy of the people and of every politician, no matter the party. They might support you for a couple of years, maybe even funnel millions of dollars to you to get elected. But they will turn on you for the most minor deviation. They will not pull together for the betterment of society. The unions will even use a national public emergency to push their agenda and goals. Make no mistake. Teachers Unions’ are evil and must be fought at every turn.
