Presidential candidates are supposed to get a post-convention bounce, a small, sharp rise in the polls after the convention that nominated them formally. But this is 2020, when nothing is normal. Joe Biden didn’t get a post-convention bounce after the Democrats’ dour snore fest: His bounce showed up in Trump’s polling numbers. That’s just plain weird. Now, after the Republican convention, it’s a dead heat.
As a self described disabled transgender lesbian person of color, I always tell the pollsters I am voting straight Democrat Ticket. Just because Republicans are attacked in the streets, and sometimes even fired from their jobs is no reason to prevaricate about your political leanings when some unknown person calls you on your home phone, on the phone that is traceable back to the place where you live. I even voted in the Democrat Presidential Primary this year. The primary where the State of Minnesota released all the names of the voters and which party they voted for.
Tell the damn truth, and accept the consequences! Or not.
C’mon Man!, would I lie? I’m not Joe Biden and he forgot his message.
rd: That is exactly what is happening lie to stay safe!
This is why they’ve been hiding Biden from public view in his basement.
BLM = Biden’s Legally Mental
Joe: I can’t wait for the debates to see how much medication can they pump into Biden? SLEEPY JOE!
blue turtle. I don’t think there will be any debates. Team Biden will not agree on a debate format and will then spin it, with the media’s help, as Trump is refusing to debate.
That dead heat is as a national average.
Apparently Trump is a few points ahead in some normally blue battleground states like MN.
And of course there is the fact that many sane people will not publicly state they are Republican or Conservative to a stranger.
Plus, there are lots of wasted Democratic votes reflected in states like California and New York, so the numbers are much more competitive elsewhere.
Citizen Free Press pointed me to a NY post story about a fixer. He makes sure his (paying) side wins. He’s a Bernie bro, so doesn’t care if his talking takes down Biden.

ANTIFA and BLM have also really helped Trump come up in the polls. Nothing like threatening suburban voters with anarchy to bring out the law and order longing in voters.
Trump is doing what he does best, speaking past the media, professional commentators and the like, directly to to people, saying the things they think in private, but won’t dare say in public.
My USA contacts tell me that the pro-Trump support is even more underground now than it was 4 years ago… even the house is in play. The DEMs know what is coming… and thus they are pulling out all the stops and preparing to make the country totally ungovernable when Trump wins. This will get real ugly, real fast.
Democrats: vote early, vote Biden, vote often. 🙂
A dead-heat for the popular vote is very bad news for the Democrats. Hilda-bitch won the popular vote in 2016, 48%-46%. If Biden is no better than tied now, he’s done like dinner. Particularly seeing as Democrat-run states would appear to be in the most social and political chaos.
How could/can anybody in their right mind vote for a Party ( Democraps) that are so filled with hate, raaaaist chants, and nothing else.
No plans for the economy, health care, immigration, NADA,!
Oh wait ,…..I said ” in their right mind”
Actually sounds a lot like we have here in Canuckistan!
FiveThirtyEight puts Joe’s chances at roughly 70 percent. Betting markets put them at perhaps 50-50.

“A Pew Research Center poll published earlier this month demonstrates what’s going on quite well. The poll had Biden up by 8 points over Trump…
“Yet, the same poll found that Americans believed by a 51% to 46% margin that Trump would defeat Biden in the election. (Among voters, it was a tighter 50% to 48% spread in favor of Trump.)
“The poll indicates that voters either believe the race will shift back to Trump or that the polling is wrong.”
