New: Christopher Steele text messages revealed at first day of dossier defamation trial
The lawsuit is the first to dossier-related case to go to trial in either the U.S. or the U.K. The judge presiding over the Gubarev lawsuit ruled against Steele in other dossier-related litigation earlier this month. In that case, the judge awarded damages to the owners of Alfa Bank, who also sued Steele over the dossier. That case did not go to trial.
Gubarev’s lawyers argue that not only are Steele’s dossier allegations inaccurate, but that the ex-spy helped circulate them to reporters without first verifying the underlying information.
The various lawsuits against Steele have provided a roadmap of how the retired spy and his dossier client, Fusion GPS, spread allegations about Trump through the press.
I’d rather fast-forward to the charges laid for the conspirators for misleading congress and lying to investigators to keep the Russia Collusion hoax going.
Until/unless we see charges stemming from this then the message that is being sent is that it’s all OK to do this according to the western justice systems. And that is not OK. The only question I see at this point is whether this attempt to sideline US elections is sufficient for executions.

CNN and MSNBC invested thousands of hour prime-time hours discussing the Steele Dossier and its ramifications. It was an extraordinary exhibition.
Now that the entire story has turned into mush in their hands, it’s as if the fiasco didn’t happen. Nothing to see here. Let’s discuss the riots or the pandemic, anything but the media’s ineptness.

He’s been talking about opening investigations and issuing subpoenas for over a year, even though he’s chair of the SJC. He claims he can’t move on the Flynn matter as it’s still before the court, nevermind that the initial investigation into Flynn was fraudulent from the start. Many more than myself have questioned what the hold-up is. Perhaps slow-walking until the election is over and hoping, for his own sake, that Trump is removed?

Basically this was about the Obama regime initially authorizing spying on the Trump campaign. It was a clumsy attempt to frame him. Now when Watergate went down, it was considered a BIG deal. It is still used as an example of Presidential misbehaviour. What has happened since then that there has been no move to punish those responsible for trying to take down a sitting President?
Many of the commentators here and other sites recognized that if you offer money to some people to tell you something you want to hear, you will get the results that Mr. Steele delivered. The text book case, pardon the pun, was written by Graham Greene back in the Fifties. The problem here is the extent that the DOJ and the FBI enlisted to force this script on the American electorate. Using the script to formulate a coup that resulted in hamstring an incoming administration in past times would have resulted in mass arrests, trials and in some instances executions. The proven fact that the Obama administration circumvented the basic concept of the democratic practice of administration change is reason enough to begin charging all of those involved in the crime, for indeed this has been a crime of the highest order. The riots that have occurred in America since the death of George Floyd are actually a continuation of the failure of the coup and anyone that cannot see this and understand it is willfully blind. Graham, Barr, Durham, Jordan, Radcliffe, and the rest must realize that the very ideals of democracy are at stake if justice is not seen to be done. Failure to act will ultimately lead to the death of the Republic.
