  9. As an aside, it’s difficult to think Trump’s description of Baghdadi’s demise as “whimpering like a dog” wasn’t purposeful given how dogs in the ME are viewed in a rather negative light.

    1. Not only popping forehead veins in the Middle East but more importantly in the US. Remember when Trump called members of the brutal gang MS13 “animals”? The media outrage was immediate aided by the fact they lied by mis-quoting him, falsely stating he was referring to ALL undocumented immigrants when he was clearly talking about MS13. Even Pelosi responded with a “How dare you!” Even when it was clear who he was referring too she claimed at a news conference that, “we’re all God’s children” and the remarks were “inhumane” and “does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?” Does she feel the same now? Will anyone ask her? I doubt it. I think the talking point email has already gone out demanding all the Resisters to give this event as little air as possible. I’ll give it two days and that’ll be the last we hear about it.

  30. As I recall, Obama referred to ISIS as practitioners of a perversion of Islam (which was really a religion of peace). I believe it was Mark Stein who pointed out that Baghdadi had a PhD in Islamic Studies from the University of Baghdad and therefore had a better grip on Islamic theology than Obama.
