      Alberta and other Western provinces and territories must begin a campaign to separate from Canada. Self-determination is the only option that Alberta and the West have to end their political and economic domination. Becoming a sovereign territory is the best solution.

      I have been following Vivian Krause for some time now, and the point you raise is more true than readers can imagine. One of the most dissapointing thing about her work (which is compelling) is how ignored her work has been by the the powers that be. I first heard of her, years ago, through Terence Corcoran’s Financial Post opinion section. But for the longest time that has been the only national media venue publishing her work.       Obviously, Cansda’s dominant national media cartel refuse to interview her (after all, media like the CBC, CTV and the Globe and Mail are corrupt, and so they do corrupt things, like censoring dissident researchers to please their billionaire foundation pals). But what puzzles me is that Canada’s conservative groups refuse to publish her research. I am a senior fellow for one conservative think tank, and I keep tabs on what the many conservative think tanks publish, and they completely ignore her. The Manning Centre (a very cliqish group) have ignored her. Once, years ago, in a FP column, Vivian Krause let slip that she is “doing her research on her own dime”. Say what? She is doing hard, slogging work, for free — and no conservative, pro-business or pto-energy group can be bothered to fund her work.

      This is the poverty of the conservative movement in Canada. The left-wing side has paid operatives everywhere — plus they have the corporate national media to aid the left-wing, anti-oil side. So Ken, you are right. Since Ms. Krause is operating all by herself, she is in fact vulnerable. Many conservatives are.

    Sad article on building walls to keep out immigrants and why they don’t work. Well, actually the article admits they are very effective except they shift the problem elsewhere (this explains why so many walls have been built) and that they are unfair to the immigrants (because they can no longer cross and end up trapped in purgatory).

    The article fails to point out that a wall in the US is across only one country and there are no other routes to switch to for South Americans. They either cross through Mexico or they don’t cross.

  13. How about John McCallum, Ambassador to China is now saying it is safe for Canadians to travel to China? Why the hell is he even in that position is another question. We need someone on the ball and listening to him doesn’t stir up confidence.

            In summarizing thoughts about the Group, I must say that these guys must be the Originals, everyone else must’ve admired and imitated them, which, as we all know, is a form of flattery.

            Secondly, I hear “The Doors” in them. How crazy is that? I also hear the sound of a little of ‘Jimi Hendrix’ in them too. However, that isn’t too far off because I read that they did “Purple Haze” which, of course, Hendrix wrote.

            Lastly, I am truly glad that these guys are still around. They’re still great!

            Yes you can hear those influences you mention. I’m sure Kim Simmonds has influenced Mark Knofler and Mark Knofler has inluenced Kim Simmonds.
            Kim Simmonds is Savoy Brown; he’s the only original member left.
            For example, remember when most of his band left to form Foghat.
            Somebody leaves and over the years he has always been able to find replacements just as talented.
            There may be better players than Kim but few sound better musically.
            The sounds he makes with his guitar are easy to listen to.

    The news media world was rocked Friday night when the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller disputed a bombshell report from BuzzFeed News that said President Trump had directed lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress.

    This is significant as this is the first time that Mueller has gone public with calling a charge against Trump false. In other words, Mueller called BuzzFeed liars. It would sure be nice of someone could sue the pants off of them. The Democrat media mouthpieces had Trump already impeached in just one day. Filthy media scum.
