    In a speech to Nevada Democrats, Mr. Obama derided Mr. Trump, without naming him, as merely being handed off a booming economy by the previous president and contrasted that with his own inheritance on the economy.
    “By the time I left office wages were rising … poverty was falling and that’s what I handed off to the next guy,” he said before chuckling. “So when you hear all this talk about economic miracles right now. Remember who started it. Remember who started it! C’mon!”
    The Democratic rally then interrupted his address with a standing ovation.

    I don’t know if these percentages are representative of the turnout across the province, but if they are then almost 60% of the population doesn’t give a shyte about where they live and how their money is spent. Of course it is no surprise and you can’t fix stupid but ignorant and lazy deserve to be slapped. Yet forcing the ignorant and lazy sheeple or punishing them for not voting seems offside to me.
    I guess its just more evidence that a large cull wouldn’t hurt. Not a bit.

        I’m not a fan of mandatory sentences as prosecutors can always figure out a way to apply them to whoever they don’t like, and gun owners are on the top of that list.

  6. An explosive device was found on Monday at the New York home of billionaire George Soros.

    The Wall Street Journal, citing local law enforcement, reported that police received a phone call from the Bedford residence in Westchester County about a suspicious package.

    An employee that works at the home found the package and opened it, revealing what appeared to be an explosive device, according to a press release from the Bedford Police Department. The employee then placed the package in a wooded area until authorities arrived.

    Now I know we on the center-right wish Soros gone, but this sort of thing does not help the cause and in fact gives the left an excuse for a moral equivalency charge. He needs to be deported to face the court in Hungary.

    3. My understanding is that they often actually deliberately create CO2 to enhance the growth of pot plants. Someone should ask Bongo to explain why. It should be something he would be familiar with. And is this activity adding to our “carbon footprint”? It must be.

    1. I find it extremely tough to take this so-called poll seriously. Sure, Mr. Scheer is about as inspiring as a half-eaten dry doughnut and many, many Canadians are simply too stupid and/or uninformed to use their votes wisely but let’s get serious here. Mr. Trudeau is, without a doubt, the worst prime minister that this country has ever elected and no amount of media mendacity and cheerleading can change this simple fact. Trudeau has always been an embarrassment and a marble-mouthed fool and now the heavy-handed imposition of his beloved and totally useless carbon tax has shown him to have dictatorial tendencies when it comes to his pet projects. Given the utter uselessness of the current regime and its ability to cause great harm to this country, a Conservative victory in 2019 should be a slam dunk even with Scheer at the helm..

  9. Letter from a buddy in the industrial landscape business on the tariffs Canada is now charging on lawn equipment coming from the US. We don’t make any of this equipment here so why the tariff?

    Dave…talked to a lawn equipment peer of mine this morning. Remember that we were wholesalers and not retailers. Because it is two step distribution, the costs escalate as the product is transferred.

    This fellow I spoke to is so pissed. He imports lawn mowers, commercial salt spreaders for ice control and related parts for these products.

    The last several months the mowers and spreaders are subject to a 10percent tariff upon entry to Canada. Why? None of these products are manufactured in Canada. Here is a real kicker. All repair parts for these products are also taxed. The tariff is a minimum of 10 percent to a max of 25 percent!!! Why is our government doing this? A tax grab that most Canadians are unaware of! WTF? We have to vote these assholes out next year. I wonder how many other products from the US are taxed upon entry to Canada?

    The fellow I spoke with is the same Bruce from Hanover I mentioned to you in the previous mail. He is telling me that the retailers are struggling becauase the end users, the landscapers are not willing to replace equipment due to the horrific price increases this year. They are scraping by with their existing equipment, rather than buy new at increased pricing.

    A lawn mower that I sold to a dealer last year retailed for $13500. Now it is close to $15500. Unacceptable price increase in just 6 months. There was no tariff, or tax on these products ever, until a few months ago.
    People in Canada should be made aware of this tax grab. How do we communicate this?
