For tonight’s musical entertainment we offer a double feature from Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood: Voodoo Chile Blues and Can’t Find My Way Home.
On a personal note, I hope that 2017 has been an okay year for you all but that 2018 will be even better. This past year has been somewhat of a roller coaster ride for me but as the new year approaches, I feel much more in control of the next chapter than I have in some time.
Though it’s a slow news cycle, perhaps you can find some gems to share.
#MagicGate
Seems the SJW types tried to take over the card game, and he company responsible for it was caving hard… turns out they have a bunch of pedophiles and sex offenders in their judges program.
https://twitter.com/search?vertical=default&q=HasbroNews&src=typd is the result after an obscure MTG youtuber went on an AndyWarski live stream with some big name shitposters. Lots of the early tweets were tagging in people like Tucker Carlson and Phillip DeFranco.

Robert, Don’t forget the Blind Faith concert in Hyde Park 1969. There isn’t a better version of Can’t Find My Way Home. It’s upbeat and Clapton kills it. The only problem with wanting to view sixties videos is enduring the antics of drug-addicted cameramen and film editors.
Great musical selections. Eric Clapton period. League of his own.
Here with friends he helps turn a simple little song like Tulsa Time into a gem.

from our good friend Emily McCombs, editor at THE Huff-post, a wish for the New Year, of course now deleted but archived – http://archive.is/9cfde – so is a Twitter ban forthcoming?
An excellent essay providing clear analysis of what is wrong with the current “diversity” thinking coming from Liberals and others on the left. The article shows exactly how some cultures are incompatible and that it is not a given that new immigrants will embrace Western culture over their own traditional values. The author is an anthropology professor at McGill. I had not heard of him before, but he appears to have written a number of essays along similar lines. I am surprised he is not being vilified in the same way that Jordon Peterson is for his politically incorrect position. The article is definitely worth a read. https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11625/mass-migration-uninvited-guests
I am also annoyed that Kellie Leitch who flagged Canadian values as an important issue is still being attacked by leftists as though she is a Neanderthal of some kind. Someone at iPolitics did this recently in a year-end summary of good and bad. It’s outrageous. Even if you do not agree with Leitch’s take on things, she has tread very lightly in putting her position forward and she has the best interests of all Canadians at heart. Many people agree with her position that if there is such a thing as Canadian values, we might want to preserve them. Newcomers do not do well if they do not assimilate at least minimally into our existing Western culture.
Here is a version of Can’t Find My Way Home that I really like. Bonnie Raitt on vocals and guitar with Lowell George and John Hammond Jr. so there is lots of tasty and subtle slide guitar throughout. This is a bootleg from a live radio broadcast so there is talk and tuning for about 2 minutes before the song starts but trust me it is worth the wait.

Pierre Turdeau was 48 years old when he started seeing Maggie who was 17 years old. Does that make him a pedophile? Not something we will see discussed on CBC or CTV.

Don’t forget that Prince Pixie Dust has, in effect, abolished any semblance of shared Canadian values or identity. By doing that, he’s made whatever was left of this country into a cultural and social free-for-all. He has, in effect, Merkelized Canada.

“Trump’s War on Regulations: More Than 1,500 Withdrawn, Delayed or Under Review, Plus $570 Million in Savings
Shortly after being elected president, Donald Trump signed an executive order directing all federal agencies to find two regulations to cut for every new one issued. Agencies also were asked to pay for new regulatory costs by eliminating existing rules.
In December, Trump said the goals set out in that executive order had not only been met but exceeded.”

Love Eric Clapton and Joe Bonamassa. 2017 has been a great year! Life is never dull, and music is my background sound.
All the best for SDA members and especially Kate, Lance, Robert and the other hosts – may 2018 be an even better year!
“Don’t forget that Prince Pixie Dust has, in effect, abolished any semblance of shared Canadian values or identity.”
He has indeed. That alone should have Canadians furious — to be grossly insulted by their own Prime Minister — but many seem quite oblivious. That makes me very pessimistic about the future of the country.
The Canadian media changed the trajectory of the 2015 election, about 2 weeks before the vote. ‘Til then, Mulcair’s NDP was predicted to win. Terry Glavin and his twitter bombardment of the photo of little Alan Kurdi, Andrew Coyne, and the other journalists, seemingly led by Jonathon Kay, who had written a very sympathetic opinion piece of Justin Trudeau’s childhood, especially his sense of abandonment by his mother, turned the election on its head. I remember reading the twitter feeds of said chortling journalists, feeling their power.

ATLANTA — Bitterly cold temperatures spreading across the Deep South will be potentially deadly, as freezing weather will likely last for several days in a region more accustomed to brief bursts of Arctic air than night after night below zero”

Most of the Canadians I know claim “what can you do about it” or “don’t get involved in politics”. So long as they can watch the NHL on TV and can stop at a Tim Hortons for coffee and crullers, who cares?
Sadly, it was that way even when PET was around. I have to admit I didn’t care much for politics, either, for many years. I became cynical when I saw that my vote didn’t matter because by the time the polls closed where I was in western Canada, the election would have been decided, courtesy of the southern regions of Ontario and Quebec.
The circumstances of the last election made me realize that I needed to cast my ballot carefully, doing so as a duly naturalized citizen, because the future of the country was at stake. Of course, we know how that turned out, don’t we?

It appears that the following are now considered to be mandatory subjects to teach schoolchildren:
– boys can be girls if they want to,
– white people are the supreme evil in the world,
– communism is the salvation of society, and
– the blessings of Allah must be embraced as soon as possible.
But teaching them about classic art, which might even show a human body? Well, that’s cause for dismissal:

“Deep Freeze Ends a Dreadful 2017 for Climate Activists”
“It’s been a bad year for global warming propagandists, but fear not: Here comes a polar vortex to make it worse for them.
The unrelenting Arctic blast arrived on Christmas Eve and it remains the holiday houseguest from Hell that won’t leave: Record-breaking cold and snowfall are tormenting the eastern half of the country, and it’s only going to get worse.
Weather models predict Americans will ring in the New Year while shivering under the lowest temperatures in 70 years, and the first day of 2018 could set record lows everywhere east of the Rockies.
Folks are being warned about the health risks associated with sub-zero temperatures, which could last beyond the first week of the year and stretch as far south as east Texas. It’s even too cold for the most intrepid thrill-seekers: Cities are canceling the Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day due to inhumane air and water temperatures.
It marks a frustrating end to a dreadful year for climate-change activists, who have been frozen out of the Trump Administration. After Trump’s election, environmentalists prophesied the end times, labeling the president and his advisors “anti-science” and bracing for catastrophe.
Climate scientists and bureaucrats at scientific agencies reached out for counseling, seeking ways to cope with life under the Trump regime; many have resigned “in disgust.””

I wonder what son is going to do with all the little dispensaries who are now in business? Man, this is going to be messy in Ontario, anything run by the current Gov’t is a flipping disaster. They just can’t do business. Keeping track of every plant pffff. I just need to say Phoenix.
I know a few people who voted for the dope, let’s see if they get their wish.
