Isn’t that everything about this gov’t?

MMIWG inquiry staff’s top priority is to protect commissioners from criticism: leaked email

“All staff are here to work to support four people,” said the email, obtained by CBC News from a source inside the inquiry.
“All focus of staff must be to ensure that our commissioners are not exposed to criticism or surprises and that they are fully confident that we have their backs.”

Image, mirage, Potemkin villages, except instead of Russian, it’s Indigenous.

  1. The whole point behind the inquiry is feel-good. It will accomplish nothing other than its predetermined course to blame white people for the sins of Indian men.
Indian women out of the bush are trusting and naive. They will get into a car with a strange man at 4:00 in the morning just assuming everything will work out. White women have an innate cynicism drilled into them by their parents since birth. That is 50 % of the difference between the murder rates. The other 50 % of the difference is Indian women associate with Indian men who have a rate of violent crime many times that of white people. But it is whitie’s fault.

  2. In other apartheid news, our “native” Justice Minister (daughter of a BC Chief who stated at a public venue where I was present that “we (FNs) should have killed you all when we had the chance”) has agreed that the Spawn’s government will support an NDP Bill to adopt and implement the UN Indigenous Rights declaration granting a new collection of rights for Canadian natives. Would it be racist to suggest that someone of a certain race might be in conflict in supporting legislation to benefit exclusively members of her race at the expense of those not of her race? Only in Canada, the last great proponent and enabler of apartheid.
Linked on same page as MMIWG circle-j..k.

  3. “All focus of staff must be to ensure that our commissioners are not exposed to criticism or surprises and that they are fully confident that we have their backs.”
Ah, the topsy-turvy world of government personnel management: where the minions have to have the leader’s back.

  4. “[A] BC Chief who stated at a public venue where I was present that ‘we (FNs) should have killed you all when we had the chance'”
History notes that did in fact happen.
Unfortunately for the natives, the Europeans just kept coming. And with superior technology.

  5. Here’s hoping that the Liberals’ mishandling of this pointless inquiry causes it to permanently fall apart ASAP. It never should’ve been launched in the first place. I’d almost think the mismanagement was deliberate, but that would be giving the Zoolander Grits too much credit.

  6. Had I not been representing a corporate interest (moral cowardice and PC) at said meeting, I was tempted to challenged Chief Wilson to bring it on as it was never too late to give it another try. If you google Chief Bill Wilson, there is a video clip of him going at it with PET and he mentions his daughter studying law to eventually displace him.

  7. “If you google Chief Bill Wilson, there is a video clip of him going at it with PET and he mentions his daughter studying law to eventually displace him.”
Too bad she’d have had to have actually got herself elected first.

  8. Started out today thinking, with reservations, maybe the Commercials on the FOX NEWS Channel is a sign the Doyens & others at CBC are reaching out to Canadians who understand how smearing works to get the Liberal Party’s preferred Crony Class insiders Hired.
However a bit more thinking has brought the realization Ms. Reid would not accept the standard We don’t have to work ordinary work hours like Tax-payers do and we can go over everyone’s head, even to the United Nations and The International Court for Crimes.
The apparent previous Quebecois Executive Directors are not used to People complaining more than they themselves do in Government Jobs. So they quit.
Now Ms. Reid tells the staff smarten up get to work and to stop trying to bring Political Pressure from the supplicant Liberal Politicians by going over the Commissioners heads. I am surprised the Libs even became involved because the Commissioners are normally Liberal Crony Insiders.
Maybe a real investigation will take place by Real Journalists. Then we can find out a Taxpayers what is actually taking place not the CBC’s usual “move along now-nothing here to see!”.

  9. Wow! And I thought UK politics was bad.
    That is disgusting.
Similar statements would be front page news in all the UK’s newspapers.

  10. “The whole point behind the inquiry is feel-good. It will accomplish nothing other than its predetermined course to blame white people for the sins of Indian men.” Exactly. How many Royal Commissions have they had now? Twenty some? Always the same result. Blame whitey, pay all those involved at the hearings a nice retainer plus expenses, and send money.
    Lance, Potemkin villages indeed.

  11. “How many Royal Commissions have they had now? Twenty some? Always the same result.”
That was the key reason PM Harper wasn’t interested in one.

  12. It’s always been about a PR exercise, and really nothing more. Just more Virtue Signalling from the Selfie Socks crew. The appearance of showing that he Cares……..

  13. The solution to anything the A.O.P.G. (Aboriginal Organization of Perpetual Grievances) has an issue with is to merely ask one question that you ask any shakedown artist.
    How much?
No inquiry, no commission, no virtue signalling required,No need for the PM to stand in The Hoc and make an official apology. Just cut to the chase and do so in front of the press gallery. Make the request of the perpetually aggrieved how much they want and make them admit this is just about money all along or admit the problem is the chiefs and bureaucrats insisting on keeping the isolation/refusal to integrate with the rest of the country is what allows this crap to keep happening.

  14. Beats me why the Libtards are continuing this farce.
Unless they always intended to stiff the native women, after all as this idiocy has played out Prime Minister Socks has paid out 3 Son’s of the desert pedophile close to $30 million.
So Justine’s People get $10 million each but the native women get dragged through another degrading dog and pony show. For nothing.
If the Liers were serious they would have given each and every native woman $100 million each.
After all it is only money, the “rich” can afford it…cause fairness..
Of course by the time the grabbers are done, that is the Kleptocracy,Liberals,NDP and Progressive Conservative, we will all be zillionairs in the manner of Zimbabwe and Veneuzaula, Fabulously wealthy ,what the Libtards promise they will make us all..growing the middle class.

  15. A lot of things in this world are about risk and reward, however in the case of the ‘supposed first nations’ its always about blame and reward. The moron who authorized this fiasco inquiry might as well have handed these poor indigenous souls ” OUR” cheque book and told them to fill in the amounts. I say our cheque book because it will be the poor SOB of a Canadian taxpayer who will be picking up the tab.
Its time to tell these leeches that the gravy train went off the track and that the reservation gold mine will end in 25 years, Thats exactly how long they have in order to integrate with society in the real world! No Extentsions.

  16. too bad they, the Indians, did not spend more time looking after their young girls. Poor choices in life seem to be the main problem they face.

  17. or maybe he could have singlehandedly made friggin sure it was conducted properly. didnt do THAT either I notice.

  18. “or maybe he could have singlehandedly made friggin sure it was conducted properly. didnt do THAT either I notice.”
There was never any chance that either side to all this – natives or politicos – would have ever be prepared to have the kind of honest, awkward discussions about the real problems.
The current inquiry is proving as predictable as any of the previous ones: long on sob-stories and bromides, short on tough love and difficult realities.
It is disgraceful that not even the deaths of these indigenous women are enough to disenthrall either side from mouthing the usual political pieties.
    For shame.
