Saskatchewan at Toronto – Sunday 12pm CST – Labatt is still out, Running backs unchanged for the Riders from last week. This is gonna be a tough game for the Riders. In Toronto’s last game Ricky Ray dissected the BC Lions secondary. The Riders defensive backs are better than BC’s, but not by much. The key to this game for the Riders is eerily similar to last week. Get pressure on Ray, give Glenn time, and stop Wilders…simple, right?
For Toronto they need to continue where they left off. Ricky Ray is a surgeon and he has lots of scalpels; Edwards, Greene, Posey and Wilder out of the backfield. On par with the Riders for receivers and better on the run. The Argos have to execute. The receivers have to get open and the running game has to flourish.
BMO is nearly sold out. Weather is forecast to be 3C, 45 km/hr NW wind, snow/rain. The Riders are 2-0 over Toronto on the season.
Toss up, so I’m going with the Riders.
Edmonton at Calgary – Sunday 3:30 CST – What to say? Edmonton came out heavily on top last week, Reilly played exceptional. But will it be enough to beat the juggernaut that is the best defence in the league? Can CJ Gable run through the Stampeders as he did the Bombers? Will Bo Levi Mitchell be well rested after his break or will his shoulder still be a detraction? As mentioned Calgary has the best defence and defence wins at this time of year.
Calgary has to stop Bowman and Zylstra, they have to contain Gable. Mitchell absolutely has to play his best game.
Weather is forecast to be 7C, 24 km/hr S wind, sunny. Calgary is 2-1 against Edmonton, but Edmonton won the last match.
Calgary by a touchdown, the rest helped Mitchell.
Toronto over Saskatchewan. Ricky ray is the difference.
Edmonton over Calgary. Stamps ended the season with 3 losses, can’t see them rebounding from that.
A Sask/ Calgary Grey Cup would be a ratings disaster in the east.I expect fewer people in Ontario/Quebec/Maritimes would watch an all-Western CFL final than would watch curling.
Riders in the Grey Cup! Who’da thunk it just half a season ago, but I think you are quite right.
The Riders just need to spook Ray by inserting Carter to take away the “Out Route” (pick 6) remember Calgary. The Rider defense will handle the Run & deep routes.. Riders all the way including GC
Edmonton will destroy Calgary.. Linebackers now engaged
My CFL picks have failed.. Only BAMA has played true
The cfl deserves an all west cup. They set it up this way so now it’s gonna happen.
Well I was sure wrong about the Riders last week. I would love to see them repeat lat weeks effort.
The weather is going to be bad as it is going to be wet and the wind is going to be gusting. This means the ground game will be the deciding factor. I hate to say it but James Wilder Junior is the best back in the league. I think he will be the deciding factor, and the Argos will win.
I hope I am just as full of it as I was last week!
Edmonton now has almost all of their injured players back. They are a far better team than they were just a few short weeks ago. Their only weakness is at head coach. Obviously you can get under his skin in a split second. That would be their only weakness. Calgary looks like they were hit by a bus lately and don’t know which way to turn. Take Dickenson’s name off the coach of the year nomination. I’ll take Edmonton even though I hate them.
SASK Riders folded when they started the squinting Bat… Glen had 3 interceptions before the Coach realized he was not seeing coverage.. Throwing towards Sound….The Coach & Glen need a bus ticket… If they had started Bridge
they win the game by 21 points….BAD COACHING using a blind Bat…Glen has one good game in 10
We get to beat up Ray again – he must be a glutton for punishment
